Today the senate unanimously voted to delay the coming digital TV changeover from February 17th to June 12th. Now you have four more months to buy an HDTV or a converter box for your old set.

Previously, analog TV sets not hooked to a digital cable box or converter device were set to go dark Feb. 17. The new deadline pushes that date back to June 12.

Decision comes with millions of TV homes stilled deemed completely unprepared for the switch and after the federal program created to underwrite converter boxes for consumers ran out of money. Nearly 2.6 million requests for the $40 subsidy coupons to pay for these boxes are as yet unfulfilled.

Even my grandmother is ready for the changeover, they have been talking about it a lot for the last 2 years. I can’t imagine that 4 more months is going to make that much difference.

Allie and Whit talk about whether Ali should question the girl who said she kissed Adam. Whit advised there was no need if she believed him, but she wasn’t convinced.

Whitney talks to Olivia about the drama and invites her to Adam’s show at Collective Hardware, but warns her it might be tense. Olivia straight up tells her she doesn’t want to hear it and Whitney should stay out of it. Whit expresses that she needed someone to talk to about it, but obviously Liv wasn’t the one. It was rough.

Samantha and Catarina (the girl he supposedly cheated with) talk about going to the art show and how awkward it will be with Adam and Allie there.

Jay straight up asks Adam if anything actually happened… all we see is Adam shrug. Commercial.

Whit and Erin talk about how girls gotta look out for each other, especially with guys like Adam, and how interesting the night should be with everyone there.

It’s party time and the art opening is bumpin’. Allie and Catarina talk after some awkward time and Cat shares that she and Adam kissed and that he never told her he had a girlfriend. She apologizes and insists that she didn’t intend on being “that girl”. Both girls are in tears and Allie runs to the bathroom, followed by Whit. Adam tries to comfort her and keeps on with the denial. They end up fighting in the street and she leaves in a cab.

Olivia and her live-in cousin talk trash about the caliber of people at the party and how Whit should make new friends. Could they BE any bigger snobs?

Whitney and Jay talk about it, and Jay tells her that Adam straight up said it didn’t happen. Whitney expresses her concern about Jay’s close friendship with Adam and that friends are a reflection of a person, which sets him off.

Adam and Allie go to dinner and talk it out. Allie expresses her embarrassment over what happened, but then tells Adam she loves him and can’t believe a stranger over him.

Next week Kelly and Olivia call Allie fat… seriously?

This episode of Jason Mesnick‘s The Bachelor started off with a big surprise- one of the dates this week would be a two-on-one, and only one woman would return back to the house. Next they learned in order to get an alone date with Jason, they had to write a song, perform it & have Jason choose it as the winner.

Nikki got really emotional- terrified to do the song. She cried and cried, insistent that “she just can’t be silly.” Stick in the mud, much? Molly volunteered to go first, with a funny upbeat tune. Shannon did a rap under the name “NayNay”. Next came Melissa, with a cheery little song… A few girls later, Stephanie got a little operatic and stripperish- interesting combo. Lauren sang a real country song she wrote called “Leap of Faith” that garnered a hug from Jason. Nikki sang a lullaby, that we could only guess was for Ty. And the winner was… Molly!! Lauren was a sore loser- shocker.

They had a stay-at-home night and hung out at his place. After some time by a fire inside, Jason loaned Molly some of his clothes and brought her outside for some camping in a tent and s’mores. Jason is obviously completely smitten with the girl… he couldn’t take his eyes off of her during their intense conversations about future, family and marriage. Of course, Jason gave her the rose and LOTS of kissing. Then he told her he didn’t want the night to end, and asked her to camp out with him.

Stalker Shannon went looking for Molly, and decided to stay and wait up for her. Back at Jason’s house, the duo was zipped up in a tent, and all we heard was lots of ooooohs, and uhmmmmms. Jason dropped Molly off at the girls’ house… in his clothes… the next morning. Molly talked about how little sleep she got to all the girls, who were insanely jealous.

Pamela Anderson is the new face of Vivienne Westwood for the Spring/Summer 2009 campaign. I’m not sure what the photographer was going for taking these pictures in front of her Malibu trailer. But I think he got it right. She looks like a drugged out and trailer trash. So if it’s your life’s ambition to look as dragged out as Pamela does…then go ahead and buy these clothes.

Sacha Baron Cohen was introduced to most people as Borat, now he’s coming back as Bruno the gay hairdresser. It was supposed to be out in May, that has changed.

The Universal film will now open July 10 instead of May 15.

July slot became unexpectedly available last week when Sony announced it was pushing back the release of Roland Emmerich‘s actioner “2012″ to Nov. 13.

It’s sure to be hysterical. He’s a funny fella.

Taylor Swift is the March 2009 issue of Teen Vogue. I’m not sure what I think of the cover yet. It makes her look so old. I didn’t even know this was Taylor when I first saw it.  I’m glad that such a great role model is becoming the face of the future. It’s about time! She also sounds like she has her head on straight. Here are some highlights of the interview in the magazine…

On thinking things happen for a reason: “I’m the kind of person, who needs to feel like everything happens for a reason. When you date a guy and it goes badly, that’s horrible. But if you can write a song about it, then it was worth it.”

On being popular being easier to meet people: “It’s weird—I thought I’d have so many more friends, but I feel like I’m less popular than I’ve ever been. It makes me value the people I can trust even more; I still have the same best friend I had all through high school.”

On being interested in acting: “Only if it was a show that I loved, like CSI or Grey’s Anatomy, or if it was a really cool script. But I’m not feeling this desperate urge.”

On people taking pictures of her all the time: “Well, I’ve never had paparazzi in Nashville before; that’s a new thing. You really have a lot of privacy here. I saw that documentary on Britney Spears, and I feel bad for her—she can’t leave her house!”

It sounds like this 19 year old is going places…look out world…here comes Taylor!

Mickey Rourke‘s role in the film The Wrestler brought him a Golden Globe for the role and even an Oscar nomination. Now Rourke is reportedly going to face Chris Jericho at this year’s Wrestlemania.

Mickey appeared on the red carpet for last night’s SAG Awards, and proceeded to tell Extra, “The guys in the wrestling world, from Vince McMahon, to Rowdy Piper, to Rick Flair, they’ve all been supportive/ I almost didn’t do this film, but things worked out. And now Vince wants me to do Wrestlemania in Houston.”

When asked if he would accept the offer, Mikey said, “Chris Jericho, I’m coming after you’re a$$, so you better get in shape brother!” So we can assume that’s a yes? He went on to say, “You bet you’re a$$ I’m gonna do it.”

Strange choice, not like he has anything to prove, but I’m sure he just likes the idea.

Radiohead, Jay-Z, Justin Timerlake, Paul McCartney, and Kanye West have been announced as performers for this year’s Grammy Awards!

Very exciting news that was announced this morning via the Award academy’s official twitter page – but my stupid internet connection wouldn’t allow me to share the exciting inclusion until just now!

The awards are lining up to be a pretty impressive show thus far (who cares about the awards!) – from Jennifer Hudson to the Jonas Brothers, music fans of virtually all genres will be tuning in.

We sure have been seeing Dylan McDermott a lot lately. He was out picking up his daughter from school the other day. And now here he is at The Grove after taking his wife to a movie last night. I have to say I never really appreciated Dylan’s good looks until now.

It looks like TNT has snagged Dylan for a show called The Line…

It’s about an undercover crack team of police officers who are so covert that some of their colleagues are even in the dark about what they do. McDermott stars as Carter Shaw, who has lost everything because of his job, including his wife.

Now I need to get that station. TNT seems to have all the good shows!

David Cook is hitting the college scene for his 37 stop national tour beginning in just a few weeks. Though a few of the stops won’t be held at college venues, most of them will be on campuses around the country.

“There’s something inherently nostalgic about playing college shows. So many amazing acts used to do it, so it’s nice to be able to bring that ideal back, in some small way,” Cook told Reuters.

“Besides, touring on a bus beats what we used to do, which was cram five guys into a 7 passenger van for one show, 13 hours away,” he added.
