‘The Bachelor’ Full Episode Recap Here, One-on-One Date Drama!

Single mom Stephanie,34, had the first one-on-one date with The Bachelor Jason Mesnick. She began the date with a cartwheel on the beach, but was sad to be without daughter, Sophia, on her birthday. Jason surprised her with her daughter right there with them and everyone was in tears- Jason more than anyone. Then they all headed to LegoLand for hours of fun and games. While Sophia played in the water, Steph and Jason had a heart-to-heart. Then Jason pulled out a rose made of Legos, and presented it to both of them.

Next was the “sexy” group date with Melissa, Shannon, Megan, Nikki, Naomi, Erica, Jillian, and Kari. Every girl would get her bust cast, then paint them and have them auctioned off for charity for breast cancer awareness. Shannon got Jason involved with putting the plaster on her… Megan went on and on about how after you have breast cancer you can’t breastfeed, so the future of the world is screwed. Then she elaborated to the camera that she has such depth that people just don’t get her, because she’s so deep. Riiiiiight.

Melissa revealed that when she was 17 she had a breast reduction because she was a FF cup size. Wow. Then Megan told Jason about how she lives her life to please others and serve others, and being in the house with no one appreciating her and praising God for her has been driving her crazy. Uh huh… With conversation with Nikki there was a huge, awkward dead end. Snore. Jillian took Jason to go jump on a huge round bed and then discussed her views on marriage. Jason commented on how great it is to talk to her and how they share the same opinions and beliefs on the future and marriage, and he later gave her the rose.

Natalie got the princess date with over a million dollars in jewels, but not til she made Jason wait so she could take her time getting ready. Her fake tan, fake blond hair, and fake look were not a perfect match with the gorgeous diamonds. Jason then surprised her with a flight on a private jet to Vegas where they hopped on a helicopter for a tour of the city. Rough life, eh? At dinner she revealed her obsession with bears, and conversation was kinda rough at times.

Kristen Stewart Hits Sundance

Kristen Stewart was spotted on Main Street Monday enjoying the Sundance Film Festival between appearances. It really seems like every celebrity is there to party. That’s what Sundance stands for is P-A-R-T-Y. It just means that I’m jealous I couldn’t be there.

Kristen is probably enjoying her time off before she starts filming New Moon with Robert Pattinson. If I were her I would be super excited. But I’m just biased.

Sony Gets ‘Black Dynamite’ at Sundance

The new comedy Black Dynamite has been picked up by Sony Pictures for theatrical release.

In the first all-night acquisition of Sundance, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group has grabbed Midnight title “Black Dynamite” for $2 million. The North American deal includes a hefty marketing commitment for a release in 2009. The Peter Schlessel-led unit at Sony, which was formed in 2007 to facilitate pickups, sees franchise potential in ”Dynamite.”

“Dynamite,” a freewheeling blaxploitation spoof with “Kung-Fu Hustle”-like action sequences premiered late Sunday at the Library in a packed screening. The offer came soon afterward and closed in the early morning Monday.

This movie looks very funny, I’m betting it will do pretty well for the price.

‘Watchmen’ Settlement Ensures Release

The long and bitter struggle between WB and Fox over Watchmen has finally reached an end. The film will see it’s March 9th, 2009 release date.

Warner Bros. and Fox have resolved their dispute over “Watchmen,” with the studios scheduled to present a settlement to Judge Gary Feess this morning and request that the case be dismissed.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but the deal is said to involve a sizable cash payment to Fox and a percentage of the film’s boxoffice grosses; Fox will not be a co-distributor on the film, nor will it co-own the “Watchmen” property, but it will share in revenue derived from it. The studios released a joint statement last night.

“Warner Bros. acknowledges that Fox acted in good faith in bringing its claims, which were asserted prior to the start of principal photography,” the statement read. “Fox acknowledges that Warner Bros. acted in good faith defending against those claims.”

Fox sued Warners in February, claiming copyright infringement based on agreements the studio had with producer Larry Gordon. Feess ruled Dec. 24 that Gordon did not secure proper rights to “Watchmen” from Fox before shopping the project and setting it up at Warners.

Feess’ decision prompted settlement talks to heat up because Warners faced the prospect of an injunction stopping its March 6 release of the $130 million comic book adaptation…

…But with the dispute settled, the statement took a positive tone: “Warner Bros. and Fox, like all ‘Watchmen’ fans, look forward with great anticipation to this film’s March 6 release in theaters.”

So fans can breathe easy, they will get their movie on time. Today the official Watchmen site became available.

Hugh Jackman Talks ‘Wolverine’ Reshoots

Hugh Jackman addressed fan concerns about the recent reshoots for the new film X-Men Origins: Woverine

Hey everyone -

It’s Hugh Jackman, sending this note from freezing Vancouver. I have read a lot of your online comments regarding the footage that we are currently shooting and I share your passion for the Wolverine character and the movie – I owe it all to you guys!

I wanted to reach out and let you know that due to scheduling conflicts with certain cast members and location/weather considerations, we had to wait until now to shoot a couple of scenes. Please rest assured that WOLVERINE will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations. I am stoked by the positive response to the teaser, which clearly reflects the tone and scope of the film. If you like that, we’ve got much more in store!

If the star has to defend the movie months before its release I would say it’s a bad sign.
