The lovable Antonio Banderas voiced character Puss in Boots from the Shrek movies is getting his very own feature.
Tom Wheeler has been hired to write the “Shrek” spinoff “Puss in Boots” for DreamWorks Animation, a stand-alone feature foray for the feline assassin/swordsman voiced by Antonio Banderas in the two most recent “Shrek” films.
Michelle Raimo is producing.
The “Shrek” franchise has ballooned into a multibillion-dollar property, with three feature films grossing more than $2 billion worldwide in theaters, tens of millions of DVDs sold and merchandising in every toy store. A fourth feature film, “Shrek Goes Fourth,” is due in theaters May 21, 2010.
So they’ve hired a writer now hopefully they can pull of a quality movie.

Being a fan of Grey’s Anatomy, I really enjoyed what College Candy came up with. They have the Top 5 Plotlines that didn’t make it. Very clever!
1. Having a ghost friend is a great idea. It worked for Ghost Whisperer, and Jennifer Love Hewitt is nowhere near as hot as Katherine Heigl. It only makes more sense that a hot ghost with a hot star = ratings galore. I think they missed out on an even bigger opportunity: Izzy is a ghost orgy with Denny and all the patients that ever died at Seattle Grace.
2. McDreamy is just perfect in every way: he’s sexy, he’s funny, and he’s the most talented surgeon ever to grace this planet. Too good to be true, right? Exactly. We never knew anything about Derek’s life before he came to Seattle Grace…until now. Turns out Derek used to be Dayna, a talented female surgeon in New York who was getting nowhere in her career thanks to the Glass Ceiling. Dayna was sick of being picked over in favor of male surgeons, so she decided to take matters into her own hands by performing gender reassignment surgery…on herself. Yes, she’s just that good. You didn’t think a man could have hair that good, did you?
Reading these makes you wonder just how far writers are willing to go to bring in an audience and the higher ratings, doesn’t it?

Aw, sweet young Hollywood love! The House Bunny star and blonde bombshell Anna Faris is engaged to boyfriend Chris Pratt, who was most recently seen in Bride Wars. Questions were first raised when she was spotted out sporting a nice diamond knocker on the all-important finger. Her rep confirmed the news to People magazine.
“They got engaged late last year,” says the rep. No further details were released.
Faris said of the 29-year-old Pratt, “He’s awesome. He’s a great, great guy. I feel really lucky.” Faris, 32, can be seen next in Observe and Report out in April.
Congrats to the beautiful couple!! We can’t wait to see wedding pics!

Though sister Kim Kardashian has maintained a love affair in the public eye with gorgeous athlete Reggie Bush, her sister Khloe Kardashian was unable to do the same. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star announced on her blog that she and Minnesota Timberwolves guard Rashad McCants are over.
“He’s in a different city every day for games,” Kardashian wrote. “Our time together was just so limited because of both of our schedules that we decided it is best not to be in a committed relationship. The last seven months have been great and we will definitely remain close friends.”
“Schedules” is the worst excuse ever for breaking up. If you love someone, you find time for them and you make it work. If you’re just over the relationship, say that. Don’t make stupid excuses!

Demi and Ashton haven’t been able to conceive, even after fertility treatments. So, they are going to adopt a baby boy. Ashton needs another man in the house to help the battle against all the girls! 
Demi… and Ashton are believed to be going through a private adoption agency and hope to be parents by the summer. It’s a well-deserved triumph for the couple who suffered through failed attempts at in vitro fertilization….
“Both Ashton and Demi finally came to terms with the reality that (childbirth) is just not going to happen for them,” an insider told The Enquirer. “They had always resisted adoption because they wanted a baby of their own, but now everything has changed.
“They feel this is the best thing that could happen because they are able to give a child a great, loving start in life.”
The couple are enthusiastic backers of President Obama, and his election made them more optimistic about the future, which led them to get more serious about parenthood, said the insider.
“The couple talked a lot during Obama’s campaign and about his message,” divulged a close friend.
“It hit them that in this new period of hope and change, one of the best things they could do for a child – and for themselves – is to adopt a baby.”

It think it’s great that the couple is going to go ahead and adopt instead of wasting time and money trying to conceive when there are so many babies needing a loving home. Good for Ashton and Demi.

First it was sister Ashlee Simpson coming to Jessica’s rescue after the media frenzy surrounding her recent slight weight gain. Now, fellow curvy and gorgeous hottie star Kim Kardashian is speaking out about the craziness.
In an interview with People, Kim Kardashian said, “Call me crazy, but when I saw the picture of Jessica Simpson performing January 25 in Pembroke Pines, Florida, I was like, ‘Oh my God, Jessica looks hot!’” She also added that she liked the the outift that she was wearing that day, which many critics are bashing. She stated, “I actually love the outfit. I think she looks amazing. I love high-waisted jeans, I loved that belt, and her hair looked fabulous.”
There is no denying that Jessica Simpson has gained weight, but Kim Kardashian told People, “I get that she does look curvier, but to me, there’s nothing wrong it.”
Kim Kardashian has been the subject of ridicule in the media about her own curves and says, “It doesn’t really bother me anymore. I love curves. Being super skinny just isn’t attractive to me. When I saw that picture, I knew everyone was going to say something. And I thought, ‘You know what? Leave Jessica alone!’ She’s fabulous, she’s a really sweet girl, and I admire her for putting up with it.”
Amen, sister!! My hubby thinks the stick thin girls are gross. Who wants a girl whose body looks like a boy? And apparently football player men like girls with meat on their bones. Kardashian is seriously dating New Orleans’ Saints star Reggie Bush, while Simpson has found love with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

‘Camp Rock‘ star, Demi Lovato was seen outside of her hotel in Manhattan looking beautiful. Demi was wearing this beautiful black, demi coat, with gloves, and a huge handbag. Her mini skirt was classy with black nylons. Not at all slutty. Demi Lovato has class all the way. She kinda looked like an ad for winter weather in New York. She makes it look inviting!
Demi got to perform for the Obama girls and Michelle Obama the night before the inauguration. I think that was a huge honor for the young star. She did a great job and I can see her going a long way with her career.
Demi fans watch for her in ‘Camp Rock 2‘ coming out later this year!

New Moon’s ‘Jane’, aka Dakota Fanning was at the premiere of ‘Push‘ at the Mann Theatre in Westwood, California.
I think Dakota was such a little, doll in her younger years of acting. She is now growing up into a gorgeous, blonde beauty. Dakota Fanning has all the style, class, and sophistication that you could ask for. She is still so young, yet beyond her years in maturing and acting abilities.
I am looking forward to seeing her in New Moon as well as all of her upcoming films.
Dakota looked stunning on the red carpet. Her dress was perfect for her. Her hair and makeup were so natural. This girl is so pure. I hope she stays that way and doesn’t let the fame and fortune ever change who she is.
