Danny Boyle’s ‘Slumdog Millionare’ Wins DGA Award, Next Stop, Oscars

sumdog

Slumdog Millionare continued its growing snowball of awards with the DGA (Directors Guild of America) award for best picture going to Danny Boyle

Danny Boyle’s film just received the top honor from the Directors Guild Of America Saturday night. It beat out The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight, Frost/Nixon, and Milk for the award, making the road to the Oscar seem a lot less difficult.

DGA winners always do well at the Academy Awards, mainly because the voting pool is made up of a lot of the same members.

The chances of Danny Boyle winning the Oscar for best director is ever more likely.
