‘The Bachelor’ Episode Recap: The Girls Go to Seattle

Chris Harrison immediately reveals to the 5 remaining women that there will be no roses handed out on dates, and that everyone’s going to Seattle! Bachelor Jason Mesnick is reunited with Ty and is anxious for the girls to see his hometown and meet his favorite little guy. He meets them at the hotel and tells Melissa she gets the first date with him. Naomi is “shocked” because she hasn’t had a one-on-one date with Jason said, and she reiterates how “impor-ant- it is she gets one.
When Jason tells Ty that he’s leaving, it doesn’t go well. He calls Melissa and we think it’s a rejection, but instead he invites her over to his place rather than a night on the town. All the girls freak out that she’s the first one that gets to meet Ty and heads are spinning! Melissa arrived, but Jason was putting Ty down for bed so she cleaned up around his house. After making a great first impression in in an amazing dress, she changed into comfy clothes. Jason told her he wasn’t ready for anyone to meet Ty yet, but he brought her to go peek in and look at him sleep.
Back at the hotel, the girls are all freaking out about Melissa’s date. At Jason’s house, they have a legs-entwined intimate conversation about kids, family, sports… and then there was serious kissing.
The next morning, Stephanie, Jillian and Molly were told they got the next date. Jason took them on a little boat cruise and Stephanie got the first time alone with him. It’s SO obvious he doesn’t dig her romantically, but he tells the camera that they have a different bond because of the kids. Jason then takes all the ladies to a radio studio, where he is interviewed about the finalists, but they couldn’t hear him (Naomi and Melissa could at the hotel). They asked who was the best kisser out of the three, and he said Molly. So they blindfolded him and had him kiss each of them and see if he could tell them apart… and he guessed each one exactly right. The girls got the next round of questions, where some risque questions about the “bedroom” were asked.
The juiciest details are after the jump!!
Next it was time for dinner and they all ate weird foods. Jason pulled Jillian aside because he felt something was different in Seattle. He asked her about her expectations, and she told him they weren’t unrealistic at all, then they kissed. They talked about who he would meet if he went to her home town, and what they’d do… and the Canadian accent drove me CRAZY. Next it was Molly’s alone time and they went and “walked the streets” of Seattle. Funny how he only took Molly on a big long expedition and no one else. Hmm. They, took, talked about what it would be like if Jason went to her home town, and it would be different because she doesn’t live there… And then they kiss very passionately. At this point, Melissa and Molly make the other girls look like they have NO chance.
It was finally Naomi’s turn for a one-on-one and they got on a sea plane. They took an aerial tour of the city and had lots of kissing (noticing a common theme?) Then they headed to a sporting goods store to climb a rock wall, which she was SO pumped about… and then there was kissing. Then came the talk about Seattle, the wife he wants, the future, and what his adventure with Deanna taught him. Next they sat next to a fire for some wine, coffee and fondue where Jason quizzed her about her family. Naomi told about her independence from her parents after feeling abandoned when her mom left her dad. She also revealed that she worries that she’s too much like her mom in some ways, but that she does want to adopt and have her own kids and have that total family unit forever. Jason had a great time on the date and told us that all his concerns about Naomi were answered and everything was right between them… Then there was kissing.
Jason surprises the girls at the hotel and he stole Jillian away for some more questions because he’s worried she will break his heart. He asks why she has to be so strong all the time, and she answers that every other girl is crashing down and she can’t fall, too. He reveals that he has strong feelings for her and he wanted to make sure it was both ways. And then there was kissing.
Rose ceremony time… Jason tells Chris he can see a future with all 5 girls and is surprised that Seattle didn’t make his decision any easier. He realizes that the home town dates with the girls will change everything and that’s when he really fell for Deanna. With only one girl going home the tension is thick, and Jason tells Naomi they need to talk more. He asks her is she’s really ready for life with a single dad and she goes on and on about how all she wants is the family life and how they’re date felt so right.
The roses (in order) were given to Jillian, Melissa, Molly and … Naomi. The lady we all knew would be going is finally going, and when Jason gave her a goodbye speech he started crying. He said she was the most amazing person he’d ever met and they were all better people for having known her. She was very mature and respectful in her departure and shared that she knew he didn’t feel it for her. It was a very sweet farewell, but she didn’t even have the teary, sobbing limo ride out like all the others. The chick was weird, but at least she’s a grown-up about it all (unlike Megan).
Next week we see Jason meeting the girls’ families at their home town… and Naomi’s mom brings out a dead dove. Seriously? Melissa’s family doesn’t show up, so he meets her friends instead. Wow… Tune in here next week!!!
