Michael Phelps has been dropped as a spokesman by Kellogg, USA after pictures of� the Olympic gold medalist smoking marijuana through a bong surfaced on the internet.

Despite his apologies, the cereal maker wants no part of a pothead Phelps:

“We originally built the relationship with Michael, as well as the other Olympic athletes, to support our association with the U.S. Olympic team,” a rep for the Battle Creek, Mich.-based company said Thursday, and the swimmer’s recent behavior is “not consistent with the image of Kellogg.”

Phelps’ contract with the company expires at the end of this month, and will not be renewed.

Harsh way to get schooled, but hopefully he’s learned a lesson…
