In an attempt to take viewers from last night’s Grammy awards (yeh, right), ABC made the Dancing with the Stars cast announcement throughout their Sunday night programming. The “all night name drop” happened during Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers & Sisters. Though we reported many of the contestants participation over the last few weeks, there were a few surprises, and I am actually pretty shocked with the legit celebs they got this year. Here’s the full list:

Jewel, Lil’ Kim, Shawn Johnson, Steve “The Woz” Wozniak, NFL star Lawrence Taylor, Steve-O, Belinda Carlisle, Nancy O’Dell, Denise Richards, country singer Chuck Wicks, cowboy Ty Murray, comedian David Alan Grier and actor Gilles Marini

Now keep in mind- Chuck Wicks is boyfriend to professional Julianne Hough, and on GMA today it was announced they would be partners. Also, Ty Murray is married to Jewel, and professionals Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chemirkovskiy are recently engaged. There is going to be a lot of couple rivalry this year!! In addition, Maksim is paired with Denise Richards, which should make for some hot costumes and fire on the dance floor!

I have loved Jewel since I was 14 (which was a looooong time ago), and Shawn Johnson is such a sweet kid and class act. I can’t wait to see those two on the dance floor!!!
