The Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Cover With Sexy Bar Refaeli

Sports Illustrated Cover Bar Refaelli 2009

The Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is the issue everyone wants to get their hands on. This year the cover went to Bar Refaeli (who is dating Leonardo DiCaprio) and she had to keep the secret away from everyone she knew until it was officially announced. I love that Bar has a real body!

In an interview done before she was allowed to tell anyone she discussed how happy she was and the goal of getting the cover. Here are the highlights:

On how excited she is: Thank you, thank you! I am so happy, I am ecstatic! I’m in heaven right now.

On if she shared the news with anyone: No! They’re not letting me tell anyone until tonight. Tonight I’m going to call 30 people – all my friends in Israel, all my friends in L.A., my grandma and my grandpa.

On getting the cover and how it was a goal of Bar’s: It was my dream. When I was 15 and started modeling, my agent came to my house with Sports Illustrated magazines and taught me to look at the girls and the way they communicated with the camera. I learned from them.

On if Leo will like the cover: I don’t know. I really, really love it. I’m sure people will, too.

I’m sure Leo loves it, I love it.
