It was the night of the families on American Idol‘s results show. Early favorite Anoop Desai was passed over for married father of 2 and oil rig worker Michael Sarver. Though his Gavin Degraw rendition didn’t garner him high praise from the judges, even Simon Cowell said he hoped he got a second chance, and that he did.

21 year old mother Alexis Grace and widower Danny Gokey were obvious choices for top male and female vote getters… but we had to watch insane Tatiana del Toro‘s breakdown at the end of the show when Danny was pushed through and she was rejected.

No worries, crazy girl. You and Anoop will have another chance in the wild card round. You could be the next Sanjaya!!
