The Dark Knight was just shy of a billion before it re-release in limited theaters, but now it’s officially passed the $1 Billion mark.�

Warner Bros. Pictures made the announcement Friday afternoon, saying that the combined domestic and international gross had totaled $1,001,082,160 to date — about $533 million domestically and $567 million overseas.

It may have been snubbed for the most part at this years Oscars, but $1 Billion isn’t too bad of a consolation prize. Now that’s some money to burn!
