Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens have been together for a long time, and they have been through so many things and have stayed together. And now the National Enquirer is reporting that the two of them were engaged back when they were in Japan promoting High School Musical 3.

Zac� proposed to Vanessa during a joint trip to Japan in late January, say sources. The two are planning a long engagement and will tie the knot in 2010.

Zac hasn�t given Vanessa a ring yet, say sources – but he�s hoping the proposal will buy him some time with Vanessa�s super-strict mom, Gina, who didn�t approve of the sweethearts living together before they were married.

I know it’s from the National Enquirer but lately they have been getting things right. So hopefully they are right with this story because I think they are great together.
