Kate Winslet was so excited when she won her Oscar that I was surprised to find out that she is keeping her beloved gold man in the toilet!

“The statue is going in the toilet, next to Sam’s! I’m not taking it on a set. I’m just going to work the way I’ve always worked, which is just to get on with it. I hope it won’t change anything in how other directors and actors work with me.”

I think it’s so she can practise in the mirror for her next acceptance speech like she did when she was a kid. I think Kate is on to something. Everyone should always stay so grounded.
