The Beautiful Freida Pinto from Slumdog Millionare is set to star in Woody Allen‘s newest movie.
Freida Pinto just landed a role in Woody’s next movie.
When asked the collaboration on the Today show, she says: “Yes, it’s up (begins) in July (09). So thank you, Danny Boyle, for helping me take off.”
She’s good, her career is really about to take off thanks to Danny Boyle.

Conan O’Brien said goodbye friday night marking the end of his long run on Late Night. He’ll be returning in June as the new host of The Tonight Show.
Conan O’Brien celebrated his final “Late Night” episode with best-of clips and a touching sendoff that praised future rival David Letterman and thanked his ongoing lead-in Jay Leno.
I’m a big fan of Conan, I’m looking forward to his return. I’m sure we’ll all get to see him more since he’ll be on earlier.

Hhmmmmm. I find this mishap a bit odd. Alicia Keys certainly has the means to get nice hair. Why on earth would this diva show up on the most glamorous night in Hollywood wearing a crappy wig?! WTF? This is THE ACADEMY AWARDS! It’s Oscar night!
I give 2 thumbs down on this act. The dress was nice but, unfortunately the wig took over and ruined the whole package. Sorry.
Alicia Keys will have to be on the ‘worst dressed list’.

Kate Winslet was the belle of the ball last night at the 81st Academy Awards. I was hoping that she would finally win after all these years, and for once I was actually right. Kate won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in The Reader. I still have yet to see the movie, but from what I have heard it’s amazing.
Kate could barely contain her excitement on stage or off, when asked what she thought about the win she answered…
“A dream is a dream. The nightmare never kicks in. I thought it was a fantasy – it is starting to sink in right now. Oh my God. I won an Oscar.”
While accepting the Oscar she said…
“I think I was probably eight years old and staring into the bathroom mirror, and this would have been a shampoo bottle. Well, it’s not a shampoo bottle now!”
I don’t remember doing that when I was younger. But I am glad she can finally practise in front of her mirror with the real thing now.

Poor Lacey Schwimmer… She’s one of my favorite professionals on Dancing with the Stars. She’s original, she’s got spunk, she doesn’t conform, and she’s smokin’ hot. So who do they pair her with? Loser lunatic and resident Jackass, Steve-O. Lovely. She recently spoke about the upcoming season and what she really thinks of her new partner. Here’s the dish:
So let us have it hows Steve-O?
Steve-O is a workhorse. He is here everyday, five hours. He says, Is five hours enough, Lacey? Do you think I need more than that? So hes just such a hard worker and were in very intense rehearsals everyday.
Were you worried that because of his history he wouldnt be the most disciplined partner?
Absolutely, and thats what I thought going into it, too. I was like, Oh, man. Hes not going to want to practice and this, that and the other. But I walked in and the first thing he said to me was, Im taking this very seriously. So youre the boss. You tell me what to do. Ill do whatever you want. Ever since, hes been such a great person to work with.
Does he have any dance experience?
He comes from a background of circus training. He graduated clown school, I believe, and he has these really interesting tricks that he can do that Ive never seen anyone on the show do before. So were definitely going to try and incorporate what he already can do and Im trying to develop things that he could potentially do.
What do you think are your chances?
I think hes this little dark horse of the competition. People dont really know what to expect from him
I keep getting these messages on Myspace or on Facebook and theyre like, Oh, man, you and Steve-O. Im so sorry. I look at them and think they have no idea about this guy.
Well, that definitely makes me feel better… that circus training thing definitely explains a lot. And she did come out and say early she’d love to dance with him, so she must have know what she was doing. I’m rooting for you, Lace!!!

There has been major legal drama with Project Runway being moved by the Weinstein company from Bravo to Lifetime without having the “right of first refusal”. The sixth season has been filmed, but we have no idea when it might actually air with dates getting pushed farther and farther back. But hey, the show must go on right? The finale was filmed at NY Fashion Week as usual… almost. The designers weren’t revealed and didn’t get to introduce their collections.
Host Heidi Klum told the audience that she was “a little bit sad” the finalists couldn’t have their moment in the spotlight after working so hard to get there. “This year is gonna be a little bit different for us, for all of you, for our designers backstage. … We’re all in a bit of a limbo and we hope that everything gets sorted out very soon,” Klum said.
The overall mood of the three collections was darkly glamorous, though one designer sent out brighter looks, including a turquoise gown and a gold cocktail dress, echoing the metallic trend seen throughout the week.
International Herald Tribune editor Suzy Menkes was a guest judge for the finale. The new season was filmed in Los Angeles instead of New York, home of the previous five seasons.
I can’t wait for the new season and I wish they would hurry up and settle the legal battles already. I need my PR fix!
