Here’s the trailer for the new animated film coming this summer called The Battle for Terra.
The CGI looks like it’s from 2001, not 2009. Hopefully the script is intriguing enough to make up for it.

Halle Berry attended the Second Annual Essence Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday, and… wow. She lit up the room in a knee-length, silver and gold Reem Acra dress.
Some critics are saying that the flounce on the back is too much, but I love it. It makes an otherwise very simple gown seriously red carpet worthy. And Reem Acra – excellent choice!
This woman could look good in a wadded up paper bag, I swear.

Linda Hamilton who starred in the first two Terminator films as the legendary Sara Conner has confirmed that she will be in the newest film, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.
“We are talking. I haven’t read it yet. I don’t know what direction they will go in” Hamilton told MTV News, though confirms that whatever the case she won’t appear on screen.
“My contribution would be voiceover. I would probably be very happy to loan my voice depending on what the material is. Wait and see. They’re already writing it. We’ve been negotiating it” she says.
So we won’t see her, we’ll just hear her voice. Even though it’s just that, her voice will add a certain level of authenticity to the film.

The Dark Knight was just shy of a billion before it re-release in limited theaters, but now it’s officially passed the $1 Billion mark.
Warner Bros. Pictures made the announcement Friday afternoon, saying that the combined domestic and international gross had totaled $1,001,082,160 to date — about $533 million domestically and $567 million overseas.
It may have been snubbed for the most part at this years Oscars, but $1 Billion isn’t too bad of a consolation prize. Now that’s some money to burn!

Paris Hilton was on Snoop Dogg‘s new show, Dogg After Dark, where he talks to sorta celebrities. So this night he was talking to Paris and tried to get her to rap…well rap she did. I think that maybe she should stick to her day job, whatever that is because rapping is not her thing.
Here are the words if you need them even though watching her facial expressions is probably funny enough.

Will Smith and his whole family are supposedly going to be starring in a remake of the classic Swiss Family Robinson, only this time it will just be entitled, The Robinsons.
The PW entry reads tells us that the film will be about “a family shipwrecked in the East Indies en route to Port Jackson, Australia”. It’s unspoken, but I suspect strongly that this will be a modern day version of the story – quite what other periods would feature an African American family taking a trip to Sydney I don’t know.
This sounds like it could be cool, it would be interesting to see the whole family together in a movie together.

The third film in the Twilight series Eclipse has been given a release date. That date is June 30, 2010.
Like other released and planned installments, “Eclipse” is based on a vampire-romance book popular with teens. Summit has scheduled a second “Twilight” pic, “New Moon,” for release Nov. 20.
New Moon is first but all the fan-girls can now mark next year’s calendar for Eclipse.

Here’s the newly available plot of the next Shrek film, entitled Shrek Goes Fourth.
After challenging an evil dragon, rescuing a beautiful princess and saving your in-laws’ kingdom, what’s an ogre to do? Well, if you’re Shrek, you suddenly wind up a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, a reluctant Shrek now agrees to autograph pitch forks. What’s happened to this ogre’s roar?
Longing for the days when he felt like a “real ogre”, Shrek is duped into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumplestiltskin.
Shrek suddenly finds himself in a in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where ogres are hunted, Rumplestiltskin is king and Shrek and Fiona have never met. Now, it’s up to Shrek to undo all he’s done in the hopes of saving his friends, restoring his world and reclaiming his one True Love.
Sounds like a nice change from the somewhat boring path the story was taking. I’ll see it.
