Ellen DeGeneres Doing a Voice in ‘Dog Show’

RGB

Ellen DeGeneres has signed on to do a voice in the upcoming animated film Dog Show.

Warner Bros. has picked up “Dog Show,” an animation pitch from Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons, the writers behind DreamWorks Animation’s’ “Master Mind,” which is in production with Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey as the lead voice actors.

With “Show,” writer John Glenn (“Eagle Eye”) and producer David Manpearl developed the idea with Schoolcraft and Simons before approaching DeGeneres, who stamped it with her unique sensibilities. The team took the project around town, with Warners beating several suitors to take best in show.

Ellen made Dory from Finding Nemo very memorable, I’m sure she’ll do it again with whatever character she’s voicing in this movie.

‘Green Lantern’ Gets a Release Date

green_lantern

The Green Lantern finally has an official release date. December 17, 2010.

Indeed, the movie does not yet have a star, or much of anything in terms of development. But ERC Box Office notes that Warner Bros. wanted to lock down the holiday release, to stay away from other summer superheroes like Iron Man 2Thor and, uh,The Green Hornet.

Now they just have to make the darn thing. They better get cracking!

Private Practice: Kate Walsh Does Redbook Tell All Interview

Kate Walsh does Redbook

Private Practice’s Kate Walsh gives her first tell-all interview since her divorce from her husband Alex Young for Redbook Magazine’s March issue.

On her divorce: “I don’t think anyone gets married thinking that they will get divorced. We certainly did not. Alex and I still care for each other, and I wish him nothing but the best. The silver lining to this, however, is that I have a wonderful family and a great group of friends who really showed their support and encouragement, and for that I am truly grateful.”

On her insecurity: “I second-guess myself all the time. I make a decision and then wonder if I made the wrong choice. Sometimes I come off as confident, but really I am a quivering little wharf rat underneath who is radically insecure and deeply in need of love and understand.”

On turning to her friends for support: “I have gone through ups and down, and it’s human nature for someone to judge and say, ‘Here’s what you need to do.’ But the most truly useful thing to do is to shut up and listen and tell the person that you’re there for them unequivocally.”

On the perils of dating in today’s tech-savvy world: “Remember when you could mildly stalk a guy? Not anymore, man. They can be at your front door in five minutes. There’s just no mystery now.”

I think Kate is a very strong woman and an outstanding actress.  Read the rest of her interview when you pick up a copy of Redbook.

ER: George Clooney & Julianna Marguilies Date Is Set!

ER

Julianna Marguilies talked to TV Guide’s Will Keck about her return to ER and reuniting with sexy Dr Ross….George Clooney. The date has been set for March 12th!!

On being back on the show:

· “I said from the beginning I would come back if George came back. But I was pretty sure George wasn’t going to come back.”

· “It felt as though a lifetime had happened since then….and nothing had happened since then…half the crew is still there, God bless them. We were all family. It was like coming home.”

· “We wanted it quiet because neither George nor I wanted to sit on talk shows getting people to watch the final episode of ER….it’s the last thing George needs. Of course the day we get there, I could see a long lens outside the Warner Bros gate taking pictures of us walking to the set. Nothing’s sacred anymore.”

On George Clooney:

· “I said, “if you do it, I’ll do it” and he said “well if you do, it I’ll do it”

· “I worked with George for two days and we had an amazing time.”

On the story line:

· Its “not sensationalistic…John [Wells, Executive Producer] stayed true to what my feeling was about the characters.”

· “You pick up a slice of their life now. It’s very satisfying”

On Doug and Carol:

SPOILER ALERT: The couple has twin girls, now in fourth grade “That could be a whole other show.”

I am so anxious for this reunion!  Watch on March 12th!  I love Carol and Doug together!  Perfect couple!!

True Blood: Romance on Set

True Blood on HBO

True Blood stars have found love in each other amidst the blood and fangs.

True Blood stars Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin say it’s true love. The pair—who play romantically linked 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton and telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse on the HBO series—have confirmed they are dating. “We are together,” Moyer told TV Guide Magazine exclusively on the True Blood set—right after finishing an intense scene where Bill and Sookie have a major lover’s quarrel.

Moyer and Paquin’s real-life romance first sparked at the True Blood audition, but the couple decided to wait to go public. “The reason it was dodged last year was very intentional on both our parts,” says Moyer. “It was very important to me that the cast and crew we were working with didn’t feel it was fickle, and didn’t feel it could possibly potentially encroach on their lives, you know, just like, ‘Oh the two stars are having a thing.’ We didn’t want to take anything away from the show. The show is the star, not the two people having a relationship.”

So where is this romance going? Well, it seems Moyer, 37, and Paquin, 26, are living together—at least on this side of the pond. Moyer, who is British, divides his time between Los Angeles and London where he has two young children from a previous relationship. “It’s just exciting and that was there from day one,” Moyer says. “We always take the piss out of each other and are silly with each other and it is great. We’re very, very happy. She’s the best.”

That’s so sweet.  I think they are both great and do a wonderful job on the show.   I hope they have a lasting relationship.

Twilight’s Kristen Stewart Covers NYLON

Kristen Stewart cover NYLON

Twilight star Kristen Stewart is covering Nylon Magazine for the March 09 issue.  Most of her jabber is bitching about being famous.

“Anywhere we’d go for Twilight was a psychotic situation. The sound was deafening, and it’s thoughtless, as well… You get a slew of all these bullsh!t questions like, ‘What’s it like to kiss a vampire?’ and ‘How much do you love Robert?’ Then you’ll get one that’s actually real, but you’re like, ‘No, I can’t right now, I can’t even consider [it].”

On her memorable David Letterman appearance:

“I feel like I have nothing to say on those shows… I’m not good at the funny thing—most people are really great on those shows. I don’t have a contrived personality that [I can] just pump out [for] a five-minute segment, so I end up sitting there and looking kind of baffled. Embarassing.”

I think that if was as fortunate as Kristen, I would be a bit more grateful and act like a spoiled brat.  Ergg…. SO annoying!
