Exclusive Album Deal: Target Gets Its Prince
The Purple One, aka Prince, has struck an exclusive deal with retailer Target to sell his upcoming album.
The three disc set includes two new recording by Prince himself - LOtUSFLOW3R and MPLSoUND. The third disc is by Prince’s “latest protege,” Bria Valente. The set will sell for $11.98 - typical Target prices - and will be released on March 29th.
Prince is so weird. I know that sentence is redundant, but hear me out. Prince? And Target?   I would never have thought that the Artist Formerly Known As, who supposedly doesn’t want to be controlled by the man, would strike a contract with such a USUAL place as Target. How pedestrian of him. I nearly want to call him a sell out! It’s nearly as laughable as AC/DC’s choice of Wal-Mart for their latest album.
But at least we know he’s keeping up with the times - naming your albums in leet speak is a great way to reach out to the youth, right?
