The Hills & Laguna Beach star and famed ex-boyfriend of Lauren Conrad, Jason Wahler has called off his engagement to Katja Decker Sadowski.

“I have decided to end my engagement, and it’s an amicable split,” Wahler told Us Weekly in a Thursday report.  “We agreed we are both just too young to be considering getting married right now.”

Though Wahler has been sued a few times and was arrested on more than one occasion, Katja always said that was never an issue for her.  Though she wanted to get married sooner rather than later, she wouldn’t be out of school until 2010 and was planning on waiting until then to swap vows. They were engaged in 2007, making it for a rather long engagement.

Perhaps adding to the length was Wahler’s plans for a reality show documenting their walk down the aisle, 22 and Taken. He is now in talks for a series about him wooing older women called Jason and the Cougars.

Wow. Cool dude.
