The National Enquirer claims a source has told them that singer Rihanna was pregnant when she was assaulted by boyfriend Chris Brown last month.

Recalling her terror when Brown started pummeling her, Rihanna told friends: “All I could think was, ‘Oh, my God, I could lose the baby!’”

The source theorizes that Brown’s rage was fueled by Rihanna’s announcement of her pregnancy.

“If Rihanna is pregnant, Chris could have killed the baby,” claimed a distressed insider.

IF this is true, this makes the story even more tragic.  IF.  I just have a hard time believing it, I mean, consider the source.
