‘Watchmen’ Makes $4.6 Million On Midnight Shows
Watchmen the highly anticipated graphic novel adaptation from 300 director Zack Snider opened in theaters at midnight last night and made a solid $4.6 million right out of the gate.
Warner Bros. Pictures’ Watchmen grossed $4.6 million in Thursday midnight shows. Zack Snyder’s previous film, 300, opened to $2.5 million with its midnight shows.
Watchmen played more than 1,595 midnight runs across the country. Today, the film officially opens in a total 3,611 theaters – the widest theater count ever for an R-rated film.
This is going to be a good weekend and a good next month for this colorful and incredibly graphic film.
