Friday Night Lights’ Taylor Kitsch Talks Texas

Taylor Kitsch Friday Night Lights

Mmmmm.  I love Taylor Kitsch.  He’s is the major eye candy on one of my favorite shows, Friday Night Lights.  His character Tim Riggins actually made me cry on the most recent episode.  So, he’s HOT and super talented!

TV Guide Magazine got a “quickie” with our favorite Texan:

In between scoring on and off the football field as sexy senior Tim Riggins on NBC’s Friday Night Lights, Taylor Kitsch managed to jet to Australia last year to squeeze in his first high-profile feature film. And it’s a doozy. Kitsch will face off against Hugh Jackman as Marvel Comics bad boy Gambit in May 1’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.” There’s even early talk of spinning Gambit off into his own film. We chatted up the former Abercrombie & Fitch model, 27, on his cell phone as he was loading groceries into his truck outside an Austin, TX supermarket. -by William Keck

So what ended up in your little grocery cart, Taylor?
Water, berries…I’ve got to lose a bunch of weight for a new role as a guy who gets addicted to drugs. All my muscle’s going, man.

Oh no! But what will that mean for Riggins if there’s a fourth season of Friday Night Lights?
(Laughs) I don’t run every gig by them. I’m sure they’ll find out. I would certainly like to come back for a fourth season. We’re a great, cheap show to make. NBC and DirecTV have really pushed the show and the end of season doesn’t feel like the end.

You’ve chosen to remain in Austin, TX even when you’re not shooting the show.
This is going to be my home base. It’s a very real, genuine city. Kyle Chandler (who plays Coach Taylor) is moving his family here. Scott Porter (Jason Street) goes back and forth. I’m in a men’s hockey league here. I box and ride my motorcycle. I’m having a lot of fun.

Got a girlfriend there?
I do not. I’m putting all my energy into getting more work.

Pick up the March 9th issue for the rest of the interview!
