Michael Bay Says No to ‘Transformers 3′ in 2011

Michael Bay was surprised by yesterday’s news of the official release date for Transformers 3.  He’s not willing to make the next movie so soon, here’s what he had to say on his official website:

“Wait a minute! I said I was taking off a year from Transformers. Paramount made a mistake in dating Transformers 3 – they asked me on the phone – I said yes to July 4 – but for 2012 – whoops! Not 2011!!! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots.”

I say get a new director and keep the movie on track, he’s not the only director who can make epic movies.

I disagree with you. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is so epic I think the audience needs some time for their excitement to die down before getting hit with another one. I’d would kind of be liking eating too fast, you’ve got to savor the flavor. Besides they need time so the third doesn’t suck and ruin the legacy of the first two.
