Kid’s Choice Awards: My Thoughts….

Miley Kid's Choice 2009

Last night I was really excited to watch the 2009 Kid’s Choice Awards on Nickelodeon.  I always find that this show is so enjoyable.  The big stars come out and have fun with kids.  They sort of throw their pretentious attitudes to the wind, let down their hair, and have a great time.  Plus you don’t have to deal with lots of  boring crap that the Oscars and such drag you through.  I never felt like going to sleep!

Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson was a great choice to host.  He did a great job and had so much energy.  The guy is a total crack up!  Way to go Rock Man!

Miley Cyrus totally chocked up and cried when she won Best Female Singer.  I think since she had already lost the first 2 nominations, she was sure she would lose the 3rd.  It was really sweet.  Congrats to you, Miley!!

Who doesn’t love Jack Black and Will Farrell?  Those 2 will make you pee your pants anytime!

My 2 disappointments were: 1.) The Pussycat Dolls… I don’t think it was appropriate for them to perform their slutty routines in their skanky outfits for a kid’s show.  Why didn’t Demi Lovato or Miley perform?  That would have been the proper choice.  2.) Was the fact that several awards weren’t even presented on the show….we had a ‘Naked Brother‘ telling us between commercial breaks who won “such and such”.  I thought that was crap.  The show isn’t that long and they could have pushed it to 2 hours and let everyone get their awards announced on the stage.

Overall, I think the show was a blast.  I look forward to next years… Good job Nickelodeon and congrats to all the winners!  You all rock!!
