The Hills star Lauren Conrad is definitely one of the most beautiful, sweet, talented girls in reality tv, but even she isn’t immune from what’s going on financially in our country right now. Production of her fashion line has been put on hold, but only temporarily.

“She is taking a hiatus, but the line still exists and will continue.  The sales of her line in the first year doubled what was projected. However, in light of the economy, it’s a good time for Lauren to take a few seasons off to re-work her still budding line,” the representative told Us. “She will look over the past seasons to determine what worked and what didn’t work so that she may design clothing that will appeal to her fans.”

“Lauren is going to revamp her line and design with more high-end fabrics… things she couldn’t do the first time around,” a source close to Conrad told The Post.  The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising student launched her clothing line in Fall 2007 and subsequently made her designer debut at last March’s Mercedes-Benz L.A. Fashion Week.

Um, Lauren… Why are you using more high-end fabrics when everyone is broke? That’s not appealing to your fans. I love you, but come on!!!

Jennifer Aniston was seen out and about in Manhattan and didn’t look too impressed with the paparazzi. It seems like her popularity hasn’t went down since breaking up with John Mayer.

It seems like John and I have another thing in common, being addicted to Twitter. Rumors are that Jennifer dumped John this time because he spent more time on Twitter than with her. The source was quoted saying…

Jen was fuming. There he was, telling her he didn’t have time for her and yet his page was filled with Twitter updates. Every few hours, sometimes minutes, he’d update with some stupid line. And in her mind, she was like “He has time for all this Twittering, but he can’t send me a text, an email, make a call?”

I personally like John’s tweets. He keeps me laughing through the day. If someone is jealous of the messages he sends then so be it.

We all remember Darius Rucker as the throaty frontman of 90′s pop-contemp band Hootie & The Blowfish, but country music fans have been seeing a whole other side to him since his journies into the world of the genre with his 2008 debut Learn to Live. Now, with two hit singles under his belt, Rucker sat down with Billboard mag and dished on feeling accepted:

“The acceptance has been really great, much more than I ever expected,”

“I’ve been going to Nashville for so long, and I’m on a Nancy Griffith record and the Rodney Foster records and I worked with Mark O’Connor. I’ve been writing songs with people there and just have been around the whole country music world.

“It wasn’t that I was part of the scene, but I knew a lot of people that were. So I think when (‘Learn to Live’) came out, it wasn’t like, ‘What’s this guy doing making a country record?!’ I already had some credibility there, and I really love the music.”

I love David Cook. I love his sound, his creativity, his humility, his look, his personality, his hair, his music, his lyrics- I love it all. But apparently there are some really crazy fans of the American Idol out there, and David’s telling them to back off!

“I have to address some behavior that has become disturbing,” wrote Cook in a Sunday posting on his MySpace blog.  “We pride ourselves on being accessible to you as fans, but in contrast, we do enjoy what little privacy we can muster. To that end, the efforts by some fans to find our hotel rooms, call our hotel rooms, attach things to our bus, etc., is something I have to condemn.”

“Should this behavior continue, the only thing we can do is take more preventative measures to maintain our privacy, which in turn makes us less accessible to you,” he wrote. Cook said that he hopes fans don’t view his request as “harsh.”… “I merely want to nip this in the bud so we can continue to have a great experience with all of you at the shows we have coming up,” he wrote.

I really hope a few rotten apples don’t ruin it for the rest of us! Hey psychos… CHILL OUT!

American Idol‘s Simon Cowell is building his dream home in Beverly Hills, and quite a posh crib it is!

The $21.8 million house features:

a state-of-the-art gym in the basement, a luxury spa complete with wet steam room, a lap pool and the solarium… a separate butler’s quarters containing a servants’ kitchen… a library next to a ‘gallery’ where Cowell plans to hang his gold and platinum records and awards… a custom-made media room with a marble bar area and plush leather seating for 20 in a private cinema… a pool cabana with a retractable roof, wet bar and changing rooms and… a putting green at the rear of the property.

I’m betting, though, that Simon’s favorite feature of his new abode is probably a “full-length tanning machine and a smaller ‘booster’ facial tanner.”  Gotta keep that sun-kissed look fresh!

Cowell has been working on the 11,550 sq ft mansion for two years.  His neighbors will include Tom Cruise, Madonna, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and the Beckhams.

Singer Erykah Badu had a scary experience this weekend when a stalker barricaded her inside her house.

She did what all celebrities do these days – Twittered about her experience.

“Police just apprehended a stalker in front of my house. Stay tuned to details.”

Erykah went on to say the woman had been outside of her house multiple times — and she had “several misc. items spread out in the grass. Blue shutters, a rabbit, a tucan and a sketch book.”

The stalker was “pepper sprayed and cuffed” by the police.   Apparently all the hubbub made Erykah late for her gig at the SXSW music festival.

I’m glad she’s OK, but this is certainly different.  Who stalks someone with a rabbit and a toucan?

Danica McKellar, better known as Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years, tied the knot over the weekend.

Little Winnie married composer Mike Verta in La Jolla, CA.

“We wanted an intimate, formal event,” says McKellar, who walked down the aisle to wedding music composed by Verta and performed by members of the San Diego Symphony.

A reception followed at a private club, where guests enjoyed a sitdown dinner and dancing to a 10-piece band. The newlyweds danced their first dance to an original Sinatra-style love song written by Verta and performed by McKellar’s uncle, Kim McKellar.

Congratulations Danica and Mike – may married life bring you many wonder(ful) years!

For the first time in weeks, three of this past weekend’s (Mar 20 – 22) new films made the top three. Taking the #1 slot is the Nick Cage prophecy flick Knowing. The new Judd Apatow comedy I Love You, Man managed to land at #2. And finally the new Clive Owen and Julia Roberts heist film Duplicity came in 3rd.
