Sharon Osbourne On Her Family’s Addictions: “We Are A Real Family”

osbourne-family-fox-tv-winter-all-star-party

Sharon Osbourne spoke with Reuters recently about her famous family and their new TV show, Osbournes Reloaded. When the interviewer asked about the Osbournes’ addiction problems and whether they “would prove controversial” on the new show, she got a little bit defensive.

Sharon said it was “most ridiculous question I have ever been asked in my entire career.”

“I am really angry. Do you know how many people in this country alone suffer from addiction?

“All my family are examples of being truthful about their condition and working though it and trying to better themselves,” she said.

“We are a real family and we don’t pretend to be something we are not. I have taken real offense…probably half the people watching our show have someone in their family who has a problem with alcohol and drugs.  We live in the real world, and this world is tough.”

She specifically defended her son Jack, who has six years’ sobriety under his belt, saying  “she viewed him as a ‘beacon of hope to every young person in this country who is struggling with addiction.’”

I have to agree with her.  How many of us don’t have someone with an addiction problem in our families?  The difference, though, is that my drunk Uncle Marty is just not NEARLY as interesting as one of they Osbournes.

Nicolas Cage Wants to be a Villain in ‘Dark Knight’ Sequel

nicholas_cage_wtc

In an interview with MTV Nicholas Cage expressed interest in playing a villain in the next entry in the Batman franchise.

He said: “I would love to play a supervillain. I think that would be a whole lot of fun, yeah. If they call and invite me, I’d do it. Certainly.”

Seemingly enthusiastic about the prospect, he said he was a fan of previous villains and liked the thought of joining their dastardly ranks.

I really hope he doesn’t play in the next film. I just don’t see him in a role like that, it’s hard to take him seriously.

Matthew McConaughey Will Play ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’

Matthew McConaughey is taking on a legal role in The Lincoln Lawyer.

Matthew McConaughey will star in The Lincoln Lawyer for Lakeshore Entertainment, reports Variety.

The legal thriller centers on low-level criminal defense attorney Mickey Haller who finds himself representing a wealthy client with ties to a previous murder case Haller handled.

Sounds like the same old type of role for McConaughey at least it’s not a romantic comedy.

A sorcerer (Cage) leaves his workshop in the hands of his apprentice (Baruchel), who gets into trouble when the broomstick he’s tasked to do his chores for him somehow develops a mind of its own.

This is no Mickey Mouse version. This movie sounds strange.

Lady Gaga Once Autographed A Unique Body Part

Lady Gaga In Germany

Lady Gaga is crazy sometimes. I know you can’t help but see that. She recently was talking about the craziest place that she gave someone an autograph. I think it’s hilarious that she would actually go through with signing it.

“I feel embarrassed saying this but the strangest thing I ever autographed was a man’s penis. I was doing a meet and greet backstage in Canada. I had enough room to write Lady GaGa but I don’t really remember. I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe. Maybe it is still there – who knows? It was a permanent marker too!”

Now does she really think permanent marker is permanent? If it was we wouldn’t need tattoo guns to put ink in our skins. But it’s also really funny that it would be from a Canadian. We are crazy here too.

museum

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian

The Girlfriend Experience

Starring: Sasha Grey, Chris Santos, Peter Zizzo

What it’s about: A revealing look at the world of prostitution from an elite call girl’s point of view.

Tobey Maguire Takes ‘The Limit’

Tobey Maguire is going to play a Grand Prix driver in The Limit

Columbia Pictures is closing in on a deal to acquire screen rights to “The Limit,” with Tobey Maguire attached to star in the story of rival Grand Prix drivers.

Columbia is in negotiations to acquire Michael Cannell’s forthcoming novel, which Tony Peckham will adapt. Maguire will star as Phil Hill, who went against his good friend and Ferrari teammate Wolfgang von Trips in the 1961 Drivers Championship.

Not exactly Seabiscuit but it’s definitely going to be a familiar role for Maguire

This is the first Poster for the upcoming comedy The Hangover

This movie is probably going to be worth a few laughs, but I’m not exactly expecting hilarity from this one.
