Nicolas Cage Sells One of His Castles
Citing the credit crunch, Nicolas Cage has sold his German castle after making over $4M in renovations.
He had owned the vast property since 2006.
Cage bought the 11th-century Schloss Neidstein retreat for $2.3 million…partly because his mother, Joy Vogelsang, hails from Deutschland. The 9,688-square-foot citadel—sporting 28 rooms, including 10 bedrooms and five bathrooms—sits atop a hill overlooking more than 395 acres of pristine forest and meadows.
Sounds sweet, doesn’t it? Who knew he even owned a castle in Germany? Then again, if you’re a Coppola, why WOULDN’T you own a castle? Or two, even? Nic still owns Midford Castle in Bath, England. He probably won’t even miss the German one then - supposedly he only ever spent one night there!
