Steve Wozniak Said ‘Dancing with the Stars’ was Worth the Pain

Though he suffered a fractured foot and a pulled hamstring during his stint on Dancing with the Stars, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak said it was all worth it. He and partner Karina Smirnoff were sent home on Tuesday’s double elimination night, but the sweet, fun-loving 58 year old dished about his experience on Jimmy Kimmel Live later that evening.

“You have so much fun you’ll drive your body as hard as it can go,” Wozniak told Kimmel, describing how he injured his hamstring. “I was doing a difficult lift — and Lawrence Taylor actually did it in his [routine] on the show Monday night — and it tore my hamstring.  I’ve never had that happen before.”

While he may have missed out on claiming the coveted mirror ball trophy, Wozniak did gain what he considers a life-long friend in the form of Smirnoff, who is engaged to fellow Dancing with the Stars professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy. “I love them both so dearly,” said Wozniak about the couple.  “I hope to be  a big part of their life.” In addition, Wozniak also confirmed that he’s accepted Smirnoff’s recent request that he walk her down the aisle for her wedding. “That means an awful lot when you meet somebody and you become that close in your friendship and your chemistry that they ask you such a thing,” he told Kimmel.  “That was a very, very, very important and significant thing to me.”

Steve seems like a really classy guy and it’s so sweet that he will be walking Karina down the aisle at her wedding to d-bag Maksim Chmerkovsky.
