Halle Berry is taking method acting to a new extreme.  She is planning to shave her head for her upcoming movie Nappily Ever After (2010).

In the movie, she plays a woman named Venus Johnson, whose

“hair starts to fall out. She decides one night after being drunk trying to deal with the fact that their hair is dragged up, she’s drunk and she decides to shave her hair completely bald. Now she has to face the next morning with no hair and how her whole life and everybody around her is now different and behaves differently. Because she was this beautiful goddess with this long hair and now she’s bald and how she’s different now.”

Most actresses would opt to wear a bald cap, but not Halle, who will “play it authentic” by actually shaving her head.

“I’m scared to death,” she admitted.  “I just hope my reaction fits into the story. If it’s uncontrollable screaming, it might be a different type of movie.”

Talk about taking your work seriously!  The thing that sucks for all the rest of us regular folk is that even with her head shaved, Halle is still going to be the hottest thing around.  Of course.  No, I’m not bitter, why do you ask?
