After announcing last month that her high-fashion clothing line would be put on hold, The Hills star Lauren Conrad has announced that she will launch a clothing line for Kohl’s department stores.

“It is a California chic line,” the 23-year-old beauty said of the new clothing line, fittingly called … LC Lauren Conrad. “It is a little more casual. They are basically trying to take that California style and make it accessible everywhere.”

The line – which will consist of only apparel at first but may expand to include shoes, jewelry, handbags, intimates and sleepwear – will be available this October, ranging from $20-60, at Kohl’s stores and on the store’s website.

So what about that high-end line that she put on hold? Turns out maybe she really does care about us little people…

“I wanted to do a higher-end, contemporary line – but I was also very aware that the reason I was able to do it at such a young age was because of fans that have supported the show and have supported me,” The Hills star said. “This was my way of being able to still do what I love and work with a great company and also make it accessible to the fans that made it possible in the first place.”

All the more reason for me to love the girl! I cannot wait to buy her clothes at Kohl’s! She definitely has a great eye for fashion and it’ll be fun to wear something that she designed. Team Lauren all the way!
