Melissa Rycroft Shows Off Her Man, Tye Strickland, at “Hot Hollywood” Party
Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft used the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood issue launch party to show off her beautiful new man, Tye Strickland. We have caught glimpses of him here and there, but this was the first very public Hollywood presentation. I have to tell you, Melissa, way to get the bump-up… the dude is GORGEOUS.
The freakishly attractive couple hung out with Melissa’s dancing partner Tony Dovolani and his wife Lina at the party at My House is Los Angeles.
Though she swears she’s moving back to Texas after she wraps Dancing with the Stars, she’s apparently grown accustomed to her new life.
“I feel like I am a normal girl in L.A. now!” she said. “It’s weird. It’s awesome. It’s so surreal.”
Pleeeeeease do not become the next Deanna Pappas. Go back home, live your life, don’t ruin your down-to-earth charm trying to sell your soul for 5 more minutes of fame.

Eva, Couldn’t agree more. Melissa and Tye make a great couple. But I wouldn’t count on the return to Texas. “I feel like I’m a normal LA girl now?!?!” Please! Jane Doe in Sherman Oaks doesn’t go hang out with Fergie, the Kardashians, Paris! That’s not “normal”. Couple that with a quote in Dallas papers about Melissa’s quest for fame, fortune, and delusions on a normal life. She said, “I was turning 25 and was depressed, where was my a six-figure salary, big house, marriage, and 2.5 kids I should have had by then.” So two seasons of DCC, a Bachelor, and DWTS and who knows what’s next…the “Amazine Race” with Tye? The girl is on a mission. ABC is taking care of the salary and big house, Tye should take care of the rest. Good for her. But as a role model for girls, very dangerous. There is nothing “normal” about her rise to fame and fortune just brutal focus and clawing to the top with a little luck thrown in.
