Snoop Dogg Gets Waxed

snoop_dogg_wax-figure-2

D-O-Double G?    That’s right!  Snoop Dogg did the honors of unveiling his double at Madame Tussaud’s in the Las Vegas Venetian Resort Casino.

These shots of him mugging with his wax figure crack me up!  Good job, Madame Tussaud’s, and congratulations Snoop!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus Lights Up The TV Land Awards

julia-louis-dreyfus-tv-land-awards-3

Julia Louis-Dreyfus looked freaking INCREDIBLE on the red carpet at the TV Land Awards.    I mean, she’s perfect!  I am especially digging her belt and purse – they add just the right pop of color.

I don’t know if I believe any more that her Shape cover was not Photoshopped, because she had no belly whatsoever in that picture, and here she looks like a normal woman with some curves.  Unless she worked out like a demon leading up to that photoshoot, and then let herself actually eat or take a day off afterwards.    It doesn’t matter, though.  She’s hot stuff!

Miss California Says The Gay Marriage Answer Cost Her The Crown

Miss California Answering Gay Marriage Question

Miss California Carrie Prejean was thrown for a loop last night at the Miss USA pageant  when she got asked a hard question by blogger, Perez Hilton. He asked her what she thought about legalizing gay marriage. She answered the following.

“Well I think its great that Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what, in my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that’s how I was raised and that’s how I think it should be between a man and a woman. Thank you very much.”

She said earlier today on the Billy Bush Show that that answer cost her the crown.

“It did cost me my crown. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I said what I feel. I stated an opinion that was true to myself and that’s all I can do.” She added, “It is a very touchy subject, and [Hilton] is a homosexual, and I see where he was coming from, and I see the audience would’ve wanted me to be more politically correct,” she added. “But I was raised in a way that you can never compromise your beliefs and your opinions for anything.”

I don’t know if I would have answered that way. I am totally behind gay marriage for awhile now. You should be able to marry the one that you love. And what is this the 1990′s? I think people are so close-minded. Yes, she stuck to her guns but she made herself look silly in the process.

On another note Perez was Twittering about how he has never received more gay hate mail than before today. I don’t know what’s wrong with this world.

Jessica Alba Rocks The Sexy Mom Jeans

Jessica Alba Sexy Mom Jeans

Jessica Alba showed Thursday that she can rock the sexy mom jean look. I know that I threw away my pair of jeans that looked like this a long time ago. They made me look like I was at least 20 pounds heavier than I really was.

Jessica was on her way to a reception on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.  Overall though, Jessica can pull off this look. And if she can, I’m not sure anyone else can.

William Petersen Confirms CSI Movie

William Petersen Movie

I loved CSI when Gary Dourdan and William Petersen were in it. But now that the both of them are gone I really don’t want it at all anymore. I’m sure I’m not the only one that feels that way since the ratings have dropped since he left.

But now William has confirmed that there will be a CSI movie.

“Yes, there will be a movie. I can understand people are a little trepidatious because of the franchise around the world and how well it’s doing. Usually people leave it until a series has finished – they did that with the X-Files and Sex and the City. But it’s about finding the right story – there has got to be a real reason to do it. You don’t just do it because you want to make money – you do it because there’s a story that can’t be told on TV and needs to be told from CSI’s perspective and the audience wants it. And we can’t wait for CSI to end or Grissom will be about 90,” he [said].

I know I wouldn’t really be into seeing a CSI movie but if he was in it I would watch it. William said that that was the plan all along.

“That’s the reason Grissom isn’t going to die of a brain tumor,” he said.

So in this cast they better have Sara, Greg and Nick. They are my favorites.

Jonas Brothers Debut New Album’s Cover Art

newjonascover

Here’s your first look at the new album cover for the Jonas Brothers June 15th release Lines, Vines, and Trying Times.   You can pre-order the album here if you’re moved to do so (although I’ve never understood the concept of pre-ordering something you can get quicker in a store the day of its release).

VIDEO PREMIERE: Mandy Moore – “I Could Break Your Heart Any Day of the Week”

mandy-moore-video

I’m gonna say this right now: I do not endorse this wreckless bubblegum pop.  Mandy Moore has delivered a reported first single from her upcoming album Amanda Leigh (releasing May 26th) and “I Could Break Your Heart Any Day of the Week” sounds like a single from an upcoming Disney flick – not the newest release from a supposedly-evolved artist.

Check out the video HERE!

Thoughts?  At least the newlywed looks good!

First Look at New Pixar Short ‘Partly Cloudy’

partlycloudy

Here’s the first look at the new Pixar short film Partly Cloudy. View the Hi-Res version Here.

Directed by Peter Sohn, Produced by Kevin Reher. “Everyone knows that the stork delivers babies, but where do the storks get the babies from? The answer lies up in the stratosphere, where cloud people sculpt babies from clouds and bring them to life. Gus, a lonely and insecure grey cloud, is a master at creating “dangerous” babies. Crocodiles, porcupines, rams and more–Gus’s beloved creations are works of art, but more than a handful for his loyal delivery stork partner, Peck. As Gus’s creations become more and more rambunctious, Peck’s job gets harder and harder. How will Peck manage to handle both his hazardous cargo and his friend’s fiery temperament?”

SAG Finally Reaching Agreement With Producers, But Still Fighting Amongst Themselves

sag-amptp-logo

SAG has finally signed a tentative agreement with the AMPTP.

LOS ANGELES (April 17, 2008) – The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and Screen Actors Guild today announced that the parties have reached tentative agreement on successor agreements to the Producer-Screen Actors Guild Codified Basic Agreement.

Unfortunately that doesn’t mean everything is all good within SAG.

The biz is breathing a little easier now that SAG is on the verge of finalizing a film and TV contract with the majors. But the end of this tortuous yearlong negotiation process hardly means the end of strife within the Screen Actors Guild. The battles that raged internally and externally over the contract only heightened the intensity of the political and ideological conflicts that engulf SAG’s various factions.

The stage is thus set for more brawling in the next few months as campaigning for the guild’s fall election of officers — including a possible successor to Alan Rosenberg as national prexy — and board members gets under way. The campaigning is sure to turn on two polarizing issues that go to the heart of SAG’s biggest headaches: the prospect of a merger with rival thesp union AFTRA, and the question of implementing qualified voting on guild contracts.

Thankfully little of this directly effects us, the viewing public. The fact that they are finally settling means no strike and hundreds of productions can finally pick up and start shooting!
