Not that it’s shocking news, but MTV has officially announced the The Hills will continue on without narrator and star Lauren Conrad. The season part of the fifth season will air this fall, and will include Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Stephanie Pratt, Lauren “Lo” Bosworth, Justin Bobby, and new “fresh faces”- whatever that means. Here’s what the network had to say:

“Spencer and Heidi will be newlyweds, so the stakes are higher than ever before for the two to make things work,” MTV announced in a press release. “Viewers will find out life in Los Angeles only gets more complicated as friendships, relationships and loyalties are tested like never before.”

So I guess they are taking over as the lead stars since LC is gone and Audrina Patridge will soon have her own show. I wonder if we will see clips of Heidi wearing facemasks in Mexico while filming her new music video, and what will they do when the gruesome twosome are on I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here in Costa Rica this summer?! And I am SO over the Audrina/Justin-Bobby thing. I mean seriously, MOVE ON!

Come on, Lil Rounds. The judges brought you to the final 13 and YOU alone sent yourself home. Yes, you can sing, Yes, you are pretty. But you are nothing special- nothing about you set yourself apart from the remaining finalists or other American Idol winners, for that matter. You weren’t creative or interesting, so we got rid of you.

All this because now jaded and angry Lil Rounds is complaining it was the judges critiques of her that swayed America’s votes.

“I will admit there were a couple times where I would just cry like a baby because I felt like I went out there and was giving my all and it kept getting pushed down,” said Rounds, who was voted off by viewers last week.

While the judges swooned over their clear favorite, Adam Lambert, they described Rounds as karaoke, unoriginal, and even “a mess.” Rounds believes comments like those cost her votes. “After they kept hammering, America started feeling like, ‘Oh, maybe they’re right?’ It started to change their opinion about me,” said Rounds, a 24-year-old mother of three from Memphis.

The judges were clear and honest about what they needed from Lil and she didn’t deliver. Sorry, sister. The five best contestants are still there, and while none of them have the talent of David Cook, they are all deserving and amazing artists.

When she lived in the Playboy Mansion and starred on The Girls Next Door, Holly Madison was Hugh Hefner‘s main squeeze. Sure, she had to share him with Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, but she was his primary girlfriend (whatever that means). After seven years, Holly got sick of being with the geriatric player who wouldn’t commit to her, so she moved on- as did the rest of the girls. Now it looks like Hef thinks he made a mistake and wants the Dancing with the Stars contestant back!

Hugh Hefner told Los Angeles Confidential he wants his ex-girlfriend to move back home. Despite their split October, following seven years of dating Hefner refers to Holly as “love of his life.”

So what does Holly Madison think of his tainted request?

“I loved my time at the mansion and think the world of Hef,” Holly told Fox News. “There comes a time in everyone’s life where they need to go their own way.”

Um, yeh. Like you need to quit dating weirdos like Hugh Hefner and Criss Angel. There’s a thought!!

Newlyweds and stars of The Hills, Heidi (formerly Montag) and Spencer Pratt traveled back to Cabo san Lucas, Mexico- home of their first wedding- but it wasn’t for honeymoon purposes. They hit the swine flu hot zone to film her new music video for the song “Sex Ed“. Yes, she’s really filming another one.

“We’re definitely wearing the facemasks everywhere we go,” Spencer Pratt said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show this morning. “We’re not playing – I’m not trying to get pig flu. We’re in isolation, in full hiding.” Montag said, “Every second, we’re washing our hands.”

I would love to see pictures of those two around Mexico with surgical masks on… So what about a honeymoon? Of course, MTV will be paying up.

“I think we’re discussing with MTV going to Tahiti or Fiji, somewhere tropical and exciting,” Spencer Pratt said when asked about the location. Asked if MTV is indeed footing the bill, the loathsome one added, “We’ll see. Since it is a recession, we might just be going to Santa Monica Beach!”

And if you’re wondering whether the terrible twosome will be soon looking to add a little member to their crazy family unit?

“No, I’m only 22!” Montag said. “I think marriage is one thing, but kids are another. Maybe in 10 years.”

THANK GOODNESS!!! I am not ready for Speidi offspring!!!

What is UP with Pamela Anderson and her never ending stream of skanky, ill-fitting white outfits?  It’s getting really boring, not to mention blinding, not to mention just plain nasty.   Who’s got the eye bleach?!?!?!

I suppose, though, that this is appropriate attire for the opening of a new “men’s club” – in this case, Sapphire Nightclub in Manhattan.  I mean, I guess.

Since the X-Men Origins: Wolverine is coming out soon it seems like we have to listen to every single story about the actors in the movie. I think I have heard everything I needed to know about Hugh Jackman until today. I think Hugh’s hot in the movie, I’ll admit it. And if I get to see some full frontal nudity that wouldn’t be so bad either.

Hugh says though that it won’t happen. The director took out all the parts that showed his manhood.

“It’s easy to jump off a waterfall naked, but for a PG-13 movie?! It took a lot of choreography. After we finished filming our director gave me a small little bag and inside it where about eight bits of film, all cut. I said, ‘That’s interesting’, then I held it up to the light and I said, ‘OK, now I know why that’s in a bag!’ Now it’s in my safe somewhere – my private parts in a bag!”

Now we won’t see all those hot parts.I think I’m going to cry.

Afton Delgrosso, Genya Mazo, Anna Demidova, and Mayo Alanen progressed on in the new professional dancer competition on Dancing with the Stars and performed the quick step and jive, respectively. Mayo was less obnoxious, but he’s still pretty ridiculous all around. Afton and Genya are both siblings of DWTS professionals (Ashley Delgrosso and Alec Mazo), and they are my favorites… Not that I am wasting my time voting.

Finally it came down to Chuck Wicks or injured Melissa Rycroft being eliminated (though one isn’t necessarily in the bottom)- though it very obviously should have been Ty Murray. After much procrastination, Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough were sent packing. Hey, at least he can propose now!

Julia Roberts showed that she really is awesome last night at the Film Society of Lincoln Center event honoring Tom Hanks. When I read this morning that people were honoring Tom I thought he was dead. I’m so glad he’s not!

Julia mustn’t have got the memo that it wasn’t a roast but a tribute night. When Julia said something about her Charlie Wilson’s War co-star she just had this to say…

“Alright well, it’s late and I’m paying my babysitter overtime and I have to pee,” she began. “So Tom, everybody f—–g likes you. All my bits are gone.”

I can’t believe that Julia couldn’t afford a babysitter overtime for one night? I know I would pay mine triple just to honor Tom.

Here’s what opens on July 10th:

Brüno

Starring: Sacha Baron Cohen, Richard Bey, Ron Paul

What it’s about: Flamboyant Austrian fashionista Brüno takes his show to America.

Rating: R

Thoughts: This movie is going to be hilarious, but definitely not for everyone. And definitely not for the kids! Expect sheer chaos and insanity from Cohen. I’m sure he’ll have a whole new set of lawsuits on his hands just like he did for Borat.

I Love You, Beth Cooper

Starring: Hayden Panettiere, Cynthia Stevenson, Samm Levine, Alan Ruck, Lauren London, Anna Mae Routledge

What it’s about:  A nerdy valedictorian proclaims his love for the hottest and most popular girl in school – Beth Cooper (Panettiere) – during his graduation speech. Much to his surprise, Beth shows up at his door that very night and decides to show him the best night of his life.

Rating: TBA

Thoughts: Ok, this movie looks kinda funny, but with Brüno out on the same weekend, what comedy do you think most people will be seeing?

Soul Power

Starring: Muhammad Ali, James Brown, Celia Cruz, B.B. King, Don King

What it’s about:  A selection from hours of footage produced before and during the music festival that was to accompany “The Rumble in the Jungle”—the heavyweight championship fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in 1974.

Rating: PG-13

Thoughts: A solid piece of history that fans will love to see.

Ed Westwick is in the May 2009 issue of Interview magazine. I have to say that finally my subscription to that magazine is worth my while since the last couple of issues have been good. In this issue he talks about his favorite music and his tattoos.

On the music he likes: Kings of Leon, The Strokes . . . the older stuff by The Doors, The Rolling Stones, The Clash, The Cure . . . I’m a rock ’n’ roll guy, really. I’m a big fan of Elvis, man.

On his current tattoos: I got “Heartbreak Hotel” tattooed on my chest. And I’ve got “21 Grams,” “Love Me Two Times,” the song by The Doors. I have “I Heart Romance” on my forearm and “You Make Me Feel Like the One” across my shoulder.

On if he think he’s done and all tattooed up: No, no. Way more—they’re addictive. Get one. You’ll never look back. Live fast, die young. Be a good-looking corpse. Leave a good-looking tattoo.

I know what he’s talking about when he says they are addictive. Once you do get one you never stop. And by then it’s too late to look back. And on a side note, Ed said that he got the idea for his “I Heart Romance” from a bathroom stall. He saw it written on there and had to have it tattooed to his body.
