Kim Kardashian really wants to be in the Twilight movies. Here’s what she said:

Kim said, “I would, like, die to be in Twilight, being around all those hot guys. I want to be a vampire. I would be one that was probably nice — no, I kind of want to be evil. I don’t know what I’d want to be — just a vampire.” 

But has she even read the books?

 “I didn’t read them, but my sisters are obsessed. They have their friends over. They have Twilight parties.” 

Kim would make a sexy vampire, maybe she’ll get pulled in for one of the sequels.

A lot of us freaked out after hearing that Simon Cowell might be leaving American Idol after next year. His contract will run out and he’s tired of spending his life traveling back and forth from England. So now after the uproar, he has clarified his previous statements:

“I have a great attachment to American Idol, but with all the other shows I’m juggling, at some point, a decision has to be made,” Cowell said in a written statement obtained by the Los Angeles Times on Monday. “Right now, the only certainty is that I’m still on Idol, still love doing it and still have a year under contract. So, while I’m looking at all options for the future, I haven’t made any decisions.”

Wow, I feel much better now. That’s about as clear as mud, Simon.

Mega- hottie Dancing with the Stars contestant Gilles Marini developed tendonitis in the groin and shoulder very early in the competition, but has gone on to smoke almost everyone else each week. Looks like now the shoulder injury was worse than we thought and he will need surgery. But don’t worry- he’s not going under the knife until after the show’s over (and he probably takes home the trophy).

“I used only my right arm [for the jive]. Go check it out,” Marini told People magazine of his jive from Monday’s performance show. “[Burke] makes sure I only do what I can do. I didn’t use my left arm. I need surgery because the bones [in the left shoulder] have separated. So after the show I will get surgery and that will take a day and about three weeks to recover and I’ll move on with life.”

I am so happy this won’t sideline him in the competition… He is a real front runner. I didn’t even notice he never used his right arm this week- Cheryl’s good an camouflaging stuff like that (remember Christian de la Fuerte‘s arm issue?)

The release date for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince has been changed again, this time it’s a little earlier. The film will now be release on Wednesday July 15th, 2009.

The next installment in the Potter franchise, titled Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, had been scheduled for a Friday July 17th bow, but Warner Brothers has decided to move it up. ERC reports that it’s now opening on Wednesday July 15th. That lines up with the release pattern used on previous Potter summer releases. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix also has a mid-week release in July, and like all Potter movies went on to make out big. 

I know, I know how can it be early when it’s really 8 months late? Well it’s still slightly earlier and I thought you might like to know.

Sarah Jessica Parker is best known for being a fashion icon thanks to her role as Carrie Fisher in Sex and the City. Apparently now she is also a reality tv show developer!

Bravo has announced that it has picked up American Artist, Sarah Jessica Parker’s new Project Runway-like reality competition series for aspiring artists. Each episode of American Artist will feature the show’s contestants competing in art-themed challenges from a range of disciplines — including sculpture, painting, photography and industrial design — and completing works of art that will be appraised by a panel of top figures in the art world, including fellow artists, gallerists, collectors, curators and critics.

American Artist’s winner will receive a gallery show, a cash prize and a sponsored national tour.

Bravo is really grasping at straws here trying to fill the ginormous shoes of Project Runway. They have also developed new series for Work Out star Jackie Warner and former Runway finalist Laura Bennett.

Jackie’s Gym Takeover, Warner’s new reality series, will use a Kitchen Nightmares-like format and feature Warner visiting struggling gym owners and using her own gym ownership and entrepreneurial experience to help the owners turn their failing businesses around.

Bennett — who finished third on Project Runway’s Summer 2006 third season — will star in Laura Bennett, the working title of a new docu-reality series that will follow the fashion designer as she juggles her career with her personal life, which includes her husband, six children (five of them boys), and a band of misbehaving family pets.

I’ll be interested to see how all of these shows do. The only one I will likely tune in for is SJP’s American Artist. Will you watch any of these new developments?

Maggie Gyllenhaal has signed on for Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang with Emma Thompson.

The action this time centers on a group of kids who are evacuated from the city to a farm during wartime.

I didn’t see the first film, and I don’t think I ever could if only because of the horrible age makeup. I’m sure enough kids will want to see the sequel that will probably look equally as creepy.

Exotic beauty Camila Alves might finally be known for something besides shacking up with hottie Matthew McConaughey and having his son, Levi. She is filling the shoes of Jacyln Smith as host of the Bravo series Shear Genius (which I happen to LOVE)!

The show is a competition between hair stylists from all over the country who compete in all sorts of crazy hair challenges to eventually win the $100,000 prize. Think of it as the American Idol of hair styling, but better! Tabitha Coffey was on the first season, and has gone on to get her own show Tabitha’s Salon Makeover.

Bye bye, Jaclyn… Helllllo, young hottie!

Kristen Bell is set to star in You Again, a new film coming from the same director of Race to Witch Mountain, Andy Fickman.

Actress will play a girl who’s horrified to find that her brother is marrying the very girl who made her life a living hell in high school.

Sounds very Disney. I like Bell, she’s great, but this movie sounds like a pile of clichés.

Drew Barrymore fairly oozed Old Hollywood glamour at the premiere of her new HBO film Grey Gardens.   I’ve got to say, this is completely the right look for her.  Whoever styled her should win an award for attention to detail, because they did not miss a one.   From her hairstyle to her eyebrows to her clutch, she’s perfectly, gorgeously vintage. Well played!
