Mexico is in rough shape right now, because of the Swine Flu outbreak the X-Men Origins: Wolverine premier has been cancelled. 

Mexico might normally be expected to contribute several million dollars to the worldwide opening of an event pic such as “Wolverine.” But during the past few days, the country’s top three exhibitors — Cinepolis, Cinemex and Cinemark — have temporarily closed dozens of theaters in the Mexico City area after widespread contagion in schools and elsewhere.

“Theaters are closed, and that’s why we can’t open the film,” Fox co-president of international distribution Tomas Jegeus said. “It’s that simple. But people are more than concerned in Mexico, and it would be stupid and irresponsible to open a film.”

Rough week for Mexico! Hopefully the problems down there will cool off soon so they can enjoy the film too.

It’s currently the #1 song on iTunes, so you can’t really fault Busta Rhymes for trying to snag another hit (and some club play) courtesy of a remix of the Black Eyed Peas hit “Boom Boom Pow”.

Personally, it doesn’t really add a whole lot to the already-busy song, but it’s whatever – no matter what’s altered on this record, it’s still a hit we’ll be hearing throughout the summer season.

Elle Macpherson was spotted making her way home after taking her kids to school in London, England today. I want to know how this 45-year old does it. She looks great!

Up next for Elle? An American TV show called, A Beautiful Life. Elle plays a model turned agent in the show, which is a satirical take on the fashion industry set in New York. I can see that she would be able to pull off that role. Besides she has appeared in movies before. Hopefully it will air soon.

Somehow, beautiful but boring The Hills star Audrina Patridge managed to snag her own Mark Burnett produced reality show. She’s already told us a little bit of what the show will be about (like her Hollywood lifestyle… gag), and she recently expressed excitement about the new gig.

“I get so many emails and questions [from fans who] want to know about pictures that they see of me out, and [they ask] ‘Why didn’t you film that?’”

“All they really see is my relationship with the girls and with [Justin-Bobby]. So this is me really opening up my personal, personal life and really letting the cameras in to exploit everything. Everybody will get to see everything.”

“I’m excited about it. As soon as we’re done with The Hills, I’ll go right into it.”

Well, maybe she will help more guys cheat on their girlfriends (Brody Jenner and Jayde Nicole), or maybe we will get to see her filming her D-list movies, or partying at local nightclubs. Wow, sounds thrilling!!

They may bring some crazy chemistry to the dance floor as partners on Dancing with the Stars, but Chuck Wicks is denying speculation that he will propose to girlfriend Julianne Hough on the show.

“I’m going to be the rumor-buster.  I promise you I will not propose to Julianne on the show,” said Wicks during a Monday morning interview with Valentine on his 104.3MYfm radio show.  “We’ve been together almost a year now and we have a great relationship.  We definitely always talk about what’s in the future and the next step.  Of course we’ve talked about marriage and everything else because we’re definitely in love and we definitely love what we’re doing.”

“A lot of people thought us dancing together on the show was going to cause a lot of friction and negative vibe.  But it’s actually done quite the opposite,” he told Valentine.  “We have found out so much more about each other.  Just when you think you know somebody, start working with them and then you’ll find out something totally new about them and it’s great.”

I love this couple! They are so cute and sweet to each other. I definitely thought them working together so much might work against their relationship, but they seem to be just growing closer. I am glad they are taking their time and being mature about the future (even though Chuck just recently said a proposal was coming soon). We wish them all the best!!!

Despite rumors that their marriage was on the rocks and Jon had cheated on Kate, the Gosselins will return for a fifth season of Jon & Kate Plus 8 on TLC May 25th. The season will debut with the show’s 100th episode, and will continue to follow the family of eight year old twins, the sextuplets’ fifth birthdays, house training new puppies, and every day life with eight kiddos running around.

I know money changes people and maybe they have lost some of their down-home appeal, but I love this family. They are centered, selfless, Jesus-loving people who are great parents. Yeh, they mess up. So do I, so do you. It’s just nice to see a loving family on TV, rather than a ridiculously dysfunctional one.

I am so happy they are returning for at least one more season. See you May 25th on TLC, Gosselins!!

By now we all know that The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt legally tied the knot this past Saturday. Now, Spencer’s sister, Stephanie Pratt, has given us the inside scoop on some of the details of the ceremony.

“It was amazing,” the She-Pratt said. “Heidi looked amazing. She was wearing a million dollars worth of diamonds over a strapless Monique Lhullier dress.”

“I was up there, and her back was towards me, so I don’t know if she was crying,” Stephanie said of The Hills bride. “But she was getting mad at me, saying that we shouldn’t start crying so that she wouldn’t start crying.”

Much like Heidi, Spencer Pratt, whose groomsmen were pals Brian and Sean, also kept his cool during the ceremony: “He was really good. He was really happy.”

The ceremony, which Stephanie guesses had about 200 guests, was a lot bigger than expected and included the Pratt parents: “My parents were there,” she said. “They were very emotional, like most parents would be.”

“This is with the family,” Stephanie said. “There was a legal priest, and the ceremony had prayers. It was completely different.”

Even though Heidi and Spencer are one of the most annoying, media whore, money driven couples on the planet, every girl deserves her dream wedding so I am happy for them. Now let’s start taking bets on how long this marriage lasts!!!
