Michael Caine has signed on to The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan‘s new film Inception.

Michael Caine is the latest addition to Christopher Nolan’s mysterious next movie, Inception. Apparently it’s more of a cameo favor to Nolan than a full on role. Caine tells In Contention: “I have a little part in it, yes. Just a tiny part. Chris and I are very good friends so I’ll do that little part. I think I’ll work about three days. It’ll be extraordinary, wait until you see this one. I think if I say another word he’s going to kill me!” 

Caine is always good, regardless of the role. His previous experience with Nolan will make whatever character he plays even better.

Another remake in the pipeline is of 1983′s Videodrome. 

Ehren Kruger has been hired to write the screenplay, which will modernize the concept, and according to Variety, “infuse it with the possibilities of nano-technology and blow it up into a large-scale sci-fi action thriller.” Kruger is probably best known as the screenwriter who wrote the American remake of The Ring.

I’m not expecting this one to thrill me or the public. Why can’t they come up with some new ideas!?

The big winner at this past weekend’s (Apr 24 – 26) box office was Obsessed starring Beyonce Knowles. 17 Again managed to stay high on the chart landing at #2. Spots #3 and #4 go to two other openers, Fighting and The Soloist. Wednesday opener Earth made it to #5 . Hannah Montana The Movie slid down to #8.

In today’s slow music news, yet another 90′s alternative band has announced it’s reuniting for a “landmark” new album, and announcing a busy schedule of American tour dates.

It’s been five years since the band’s bitter split (accompanied by well-publicized smack talking – mainly from jilted singer Scott Stapp- who’s solo album bombed), but after various members reached out lately, they’ve seemed to settle their differences – for now.

“I wouldn’t call it a reunion,” says Stapp. “It’s a renewing and a rebirth. I missed my boys and wanted to create music with them again. We’re all thrilled to have a second chance to make a first impression.”

Carmen Electra celebrated her 37th birthday in style at Wet Republic’s 2009 Launch of Daylife Sundays at MGM Grand Resort Casino in Las Vegas yesterday. She looked awkward as she posed for pictures, always having her hand up to her face. It was like if she had her other hand down it might give away her secret.

Rumors have been flying all day that she’s pregnant with her boyfriend, Rob Patterson‘s baby. TMZ even said that she was pool side with a bunch of bikini-clad girls but refused to take her dress off. So we all know what that means.

Didn’t we say the same thing last year too?

Olivia Wilde was pretty in purple last night at the premiere of American Casino at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

American Casino a documentary focusing on how the Wall Street collapse has impacted the working class. I am excited to see her in something other than House. She is one of my favorite characters on that show and has caused me to cry a time or two this season. I just hope she’s in next season too.

Perhaps the coolest housewife on The Real Housewives of New York, Jill Zarin recently underwent plastic surgery, but it’s not what you think. The redhead reduced her chest size from a 34G to a 34DD. Here’s what Jill had to say regarding the procedure, why she did it, and what she’s looking forward to…

“This was not a decision that happened overnight, that’s for sure. Time and gravity had taken their toll, and I developed health problems, which limited my physical activity over the years. Although they were fabulous assets until my mid-30s, they became a problem as time went on.”

“I wanted to go public with my story to show women there is no shame in wanting to look and feel your best as long as it’s done safely. I want to put an end to the rumor that a breast reduction and lift has to be a painful and long procedure. ”

She continues, “I’m still a 34DD and full, so most of my clothing seems to fit — but better. I still have to get the sports bra off, so I won’t really know what to do with them, so to speak, until May 1. I have some new Le Mystère bras waiting for me and can’t wait to go shopping for more. They never made pretty bras for women my size before.”

I am so happy for and proud of Jill. As someone who has experienced this surgery myself, I am glad she is making it ok to talk about in public. Having a chest that large is hard on your back, produces health issues, and I bet she will look 10x skinnier with them reduced and lifted. Good for you, girl!!

Much like the earlier departed Sandra, Natalie Pack thought she was the best on this cycle of America’s Next Top Model, and when she got cut, she got mad! At her final panel, she argued with Tyra Banks about the feedback she got from shoot director Jay Manuel. Despite what the judges said, she thought her picture was the best by far, so you can imagine her shock when she was sent packing. And after viewing the portrayal of her on the show, Natalie got even more angry.

Here’s what she had to say following her last episode:

“Oh my God, [I was] more than surprised. I thought that it was my best feedback that I’ve ever gotten from [photo shoot director Jay Manuel]. I thought I was totally fine, I mean you could totally tell that I was confident about it”… “To be so confident to say ‘Oh I’m not going home, I have no fear of going home,’ and then I ended up going home. I was  kind of like ‘What?’”

“The whole show is very… I don’t know what the word would be for it, I’d probably [call] it ‘shady,’ almost because you never know what their intentions are,” Pack said. “I mean they edited me to look like someone I’m totally not. So it was really strange, the whole experience was just… I don’t know. I have mixed feelings about it.”… “It’s almost disgusting to me because it makes me upset that they would show me in this light when it’s completely the opposite of who I am,” Pack insisted. “I’m not snobby, I’m extremely down to earth, I’m not even wealthy. I mean, I don’t have tons of money and anything like that they portrayed me as.”

“If it was so easy for them to make me seem like this then they wouldn’t have to cut and paste my words together,” she added. “They would have multiple things for me that they could choose from. They really struggled to make me look spoiled, but I guess they did a good job because people are definitely believing it.”

And as for who she wants to take home top honors as America’s Next Top Model?

“I’m really hoping that Allison wins,”Pack said. ”I think that she has the most potential out of all the girls left. I think that she has a beautiful look and it’s something that nobody’s ever seen before, which is really important to stand out and be unique in the modeling industry. Teyona, I feel like she might win, but I really want Allison to win.”

I feel bad for Natalie if she isn’t the snobby, rich witch they made her out to be… Because I was totally convinced!

Katie Holmes was spotted at the Independent Feature Project 30th Year Celebration at the Cooper Square Hotel in New York City last night. Katie looks amazing in this black suit ensemble. And she’s even smiling.

Recently Katie talked about how husband, Tom Cruise, and her like to relax.

“We like to watch three movies in a row. I love action movies.”

She admits though that she will watch movies that she doesn’t like for Tom.

“I’ll watch it anyway, and then we’ll talk about it afterward.”

I watch movies I don’t like either for my guy. I think if you love someone that you should. I wonder if Tom likes the romance movies and Katie doesn’t?
