Nicole Kidman was set to star in Woody Allen’s next film, but she’s been replaced by British actress Lucy Punch. 

Woody Allen is working on his new movie to be filmed in London this Summer, and the cast he’s planned includes Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas, Naomi Watts and, until recently, also featured Nicole Kidman. She recently bowed out, however, when the schedule for Rabbit Hole was set and clashed with Woody’s plan. Rabbit Hole took precedence as Kidman is not just acting in it, she’s also producing. As a result, Woody Allen has now replaced Ms. Kidman and his choice is a fascinating one. Against all of my intuition, he’s gone for the British actress Lucy Punch, who you probably know best from CBS sitcom The Class or Edgar Wright’s Hot Fuzz.

Unfortunate news, Ms. Punch has some big shoes to fill.

If you are looking forward to the new Melrose Place on The CW, then you’ll appreciate this hot new poster that is promoting the show.  I think that nothing is as good the original.  But, if we must do re-makes, Melrose Place might just be a winning ticket.

Tom Hiddleston is set to star as Thor’s nemesis in the upcoming Marvel comic movie, Thor. Here’s what he said about the role. 

Tom Hiddleston played the bad guy all the time when he was a kid. ‘Me, my sisters and my cousins would put these plays on at the end of the summer and I would always be Captain Hook,’ Tom told me.

‘Loki’s like a comic book version of Edmund in King Lear, but nastier,’ Tom observed.

How much nastier? ‘Well, Loki’s skilled in black magic and scorcery. He’s a shape-shifter and has all sorts of super powers from the dark arts. He can turn clouds into dragons, things like that.’

Between now and January, when Thor begins shooting, Tom has to keep himself fit and healthy.

‘Ken wants Loki to have a lean and hungry look, like Cassius in Julius Caesar. Physically, he can’t be posing as Thor.’

This is one of those movies that will really have to be right on the comic book money if people are going to buy it. These are some pretty big characters squeezed into a much smaller scale, hopefully they can pull it off.

Sacha Baron Cohen star of the upcoming film Bruno was an award presenter tonight on the MTV Movie Awards. He “flew in” on wires and ended up being lowerd down into the audience, right on top of Eminem. Not only did he land on the star, but he landed with his crotch and rear end directly in Eminem’s face. Needless to say Eminem was not happy, he started cursing and they pulled him off of the rapper. He stormed out of the building.

Halle Berry might be starring in a new thriller called The Surrogate.

Halle Berry is in talks to star in thriller ”The Surrogate” for 20th Century Fox.

Helmer Paul Verhoeven is onboard to develop the project, which revolves around a couple who hire a surrogate to carry their child and find out mid-term that the surrogate is insane.

Sounds like a pretty intense turn of events, hopefully it’s a great piece of drama.

I like Stephanie Pratt almost the most of the whole Hills cast. And now I can’t decide what she said to Sandra Bullock is dumb or just plain adorable.

Stephanie was trying to chat up Sandra at the press junket of the movie, The Proposal, this weekend when Stephanie said that Sandra was her grandfather’s favorite actor. But that was nothing. The next thing she said was the kicker.

“Oh, he’s dead now, but the two films of yours he used to watch over and over were ‘Miss Congeniality’ and ‘Pretty Woman.’”

What did Sandra say in return?

“Well, if I were actually in ‘Pretty Woman’ I’d be very flattered.”

Britney Spears is very excited for her new music video, Radar.  I can’t blame her.  I think her success is stockpiling.  This video is going to be so hot!

The one thing I still wish Britney would do is quit smoking.  She is too young and too beautiful to kill herself with that nasty habit.  She is a mom first and foremost.  I am proud of how far she has come.  I just think she needs to drop the habit and stay healthy for her boys.  You can see her taking a smoke break on set above.

Will Ferrell is one of my most favorite funny men ever.  The man has got some seriously funny skills!  Well, it looks like Will is going to make us laugh in a whole new element.

On a special episode of Discovery’s Man vs. Wild (June 2, 10/9c), Ferrell and survival expert Bear Grylls must survive for 48 hours in the ice-covered mountains of Sweden. In the sneak peek below, it’s clear Ferrell has not let the cold get to his sense of humor, falling over in a pair of handmade snow shoes and describing an animal hide as making “great car seats for my Camaro.”

Yepper.  Levi Johnston is in July’s issue of GQ, topless.  He poses for pictures with his shirt off while changing his son, Tripp’s diaper.

He blabs about how the Palin’s made Bristol dump him….whatever, I would have done the same thing. Levi is a total d-bag.

“Just going over there makes me pretty damn uncomfortable,” Johnston, 19, tells the magazine. “Just going over there, and Todd and Sarah sitting there staring at me, doesn’t do it for me. Todd never says anything, really. Sarah’s … a politician: She knows how to throw in a fake smile and look happy.”

“I know that her parents didn’t want us together … so they probably put a little pressure on her,” he said. “But at the same time, they told us they wanted us to get married when they found out Bristol was pregnant. … I don’t know what the deal was.”

Hmmmm, I am wondering how this is going to go over at the Palin household.  If I was Bristol Palin, I would be beyond pissed and the sh*t would hit the fan.  The pictures of little Tripp with his little “parts” showing are completely inappropriate.  Levi, you can take all your clothes off if that thrills you, but you need to respect your son.  This guy is such a creep and I would be suing him for full custody if I was Bristol!
