Allison Iraheta Eliminated from ‘American Idol’ Leaving All Guy Semi-Final
The final three finalists on American Idol get to go home for a hometown hero’s parade and time with family. I love seeing how the contestants react when they see the people lined up to see them- seems like a very humbling experience. So after a performance by delusional Paula Abdul and a still amazing No Doubt, it was finally time for some results.
The first person safe… Kris Allen!! Wow!! It seemed that he was completely prepared for elimination, and then they revealed the big shocker. Good for you, dude.
Then it was time for an awesome performance by Daughtry. Those guys rock!
The second person who has made the top three is… Adam Lambert.
It’s down to Allison Iraheta and Danny Gokey, and Danny is safe. Allison Iraheta is eliminated! Finally!
She’s a sweet girl and we wish her the best of luck, but I definitely feel the best three guys are left. She’s 17 and has a long career ahead of her. We love you, Ali!

I am totally bummed. I was hoping Allison would make it to the final two. She is mega talented and is going to have a huge career inspite of not winning. I guess I just wanted girl power till the end….
Look, whoever was picked to go would have a group of people whining how unfair it all it, how the show is fixed, yada yada. I think for a 16 year old, she showed unbelievable poise and had a good voice, but, something about her was a turnoff. Maybe it’s because at 16 she looked 47, or that flaming magenta hair with her skin color. Mostly, as good as she was, she sounded perpetually hoarse and after listening to her week after week, her sound got old, to me. We all have different tastes in music, and I respect those who loved her. She is talented, but, I am happy that the guys are left. I don’t think American Idol has ever had anyone as gifted as Adam, and both Kris and Danny are great singers, and they deserve to stay.
