Drew Lachey Wants Former Partner Cheryl Burke to Lose ‘Dancing with the Stars’
For once getting along so well that infidelity rumors ran rampant, Drew Lachey is surely distancing himself from former Dancing with the Stars partner Cheryl Burke. In fact, he is speaking out in opposition to her and partner Gilles Marini taking home the championship, instead rooting for petite gymnastic powerhouse, Shawn Johnson.
“She’s 17 years old. She’s putting herself out there, doing something completely foreign to her. Adults can adjust a bit easier, but for a 17-year-old to go out there? My hat goes off to her.”
In addition, Lachey joked that if Burke and Marini were to win the eighth-season mirror ball trophy it would “belittle” his victory with her in February 2006. ..”I’m going to have to go back on there and show people that it wasn’t her — it was me,” he told E! News. “If I had a different partner, I still would have won.”
I am hoping for a Melissa Rycroft, Shawn Johnson, and Gilles Marini finale. I would be ecstatic if any of those three won.

The female pro dancers during Drew Lachey’s participation in Season 2 were Andrea Hale, Ashley Del Grosso, Edyta Sliwinska, Anna Trebunskaya and Cheryl Burke,
Lachey should consider himself lucky he got Burke in Season 2 , none of the ladies mentioned except for Burke had won a DWTS mirrorball trophy since it’s now Season 8, Except for Edyta and Anna(who’s competing in the professional arena), these other ladies had disappeared in publicity sphere . If he had been partnered with any of the ladies in Season 2 Andrea Hale, Ashley Del Grosso, Edyta Sliwinska, Anna Trebunskaya. He wouldn’t have bave won.
The best “star”’ dancer was Stacey Keibler, she wasn’t as famous as football star Rice. The thing that catapulted Drew Lachey for the Mirror Ball champsionship was the extraordinary choreography of Burke’s Save a Horse Ride . If Jerry Rice had Burke as a partner, Rice would have won not Lachey, Look what Cheryl Burke did to Emmit Smith.
Think of Fred Astaire, though he danced with a lot of women, the most memorable was Ginger Rogers. LACHEY DREW should thanks heavens he got Burkey. Anyway as of to date, Cheryl Burke has become a bigger star than Lachey.
Gilles Marini whether he wins or not the Trophy Ball is on his way to become a movie star as a leading actor. Lachey doesn’t have the persona to be a lead or a second lead in the cinematic screen because he lacks the height or charm or charisma that makes one become a Clark Gable.
