The smart people over at Funny or Die have figured out a way to drum up some extra promotion of the movie, The Proposal, starring Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock. They give us a glimpse of the back stage drama that was going on between Ryan and Betty White. Ryan tells Betty right where it’s at. There is a lot of cussing in this video, but don’t worry it’s all bleeped.

I think it’s funny when Sandra tells Ryan that no one knows who he is. I am afraid to say that I would notice Ryan’s name anywhere. Even in a dark alley.

Lo Bosworth never gets enough air time on The Hills. It’s probably because her boyfriend isn’t on the show and she isn’t a glutton for drama and controversy ala Speidi, but she’s cute and funny and should totally be featured more often. Now she’s done a pictorial and interview with OK! Magazine that shows her more provocative side.  She shares how she feels about Lauren’s departure, Kristen Cavallari’s dramatic addition to the cast and much more… Here are the highlights:

Let’s get right to it. Lauren’s leaving.
It scares me. We really are best friends. We’ve done the show for so long that we know the ins and outs — we know when we’re funny.

What do you think about Kristin joining the cast of The Hills? I’m excited! I grew up down the street from her and we had a lot of fun together. She knows how to be the center of attention and how to get the party started.

How do you think she’ll change the chemistry of the cast? Right now we’re a unit and we all like each other for the first time. We’ve gotten to a point where we know each other well and work together really well. She may stir things up. When anyone new comes into your group, you don’t know exactly what the outcome will be. You never know.

How have you personally changed since the show began? I’m more sensitive than I thought I was. We are judged; people say horrible things about you. It really sucks, but you have to look the other way. I’m caring and loving and giving. I don’t think that comes across on the show. It’s more drama and fights.

I am glad that Lo’s excited about Kristen joining, but I am so not. Hopefully she will change my mind, but it’s highly doubtful. I guess they had to bring in someone new now that everyone’s getting along so well. Drama sells!

For the second time, Mark Ballas has turned an Olympic gold medalist into a mirrorball trophy winner on Dancing with the Stars. He and partner Shawn Johnson won the competition last night by less than 1% over favorites, Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke.

Melissa Rycroft was told she had placed third (after almost 3 hours of bore and nonsense), and everyone assumed Gilles would be taking home the title. When Shawn’s name was announced, looks of shock appeared all over the studio, including on the faces of Shawn and Mark.

“This has been the most amazing experience ever.  I’ve grown so much.  Thank you so much,” Johnson said.

Gilles and Cheryl were very gracious in defeat and expressed how proud they were of their friends.

“I’m so happy for Shawn and Mark, you know they worked so hard.  We love them so much,” Marini said after Johnson’s victory was announced.  “I want to thank all the fans, I want to thank all the people who helped me.  I want to thank my wife, I love you so much.  Cheryl, you’re one of the best things that has happened in my life, I love you.”

I guess Drew Lachey got his wish after all!! Oh, and if anyone cares, Anna Demidova won the competition to become next season’s new professional.

Ashanti is preparing to star in Encores!  Summer Stars’ revival of The Wiz this summer at the New York City Center.   The singer, who will play the part of Dorothy, gave a special sneak peek performance on Tuesday.

She also dang near gave us a sneak peek of her lady parts.  Whooooeee is that dress short!  It’s hella cute – I mean, super cute, as are those FANTASTIC shoes – but it honestly could use a couple of extra inches in the skirt.   Not because girl doesn’t look good, because she does…but I’m sure she doesn’t want pictures of her hoo-ha all over the internet, know what I mean?

Contrary to rumors that began spreading on he internet Tuesday morning, Patrick Swayze has not died.

His rep, Annett Wolf, released the following statement:

“This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida.  Patrick Swayze is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment.  I hope in the future, the press will think twice about printing inaccuracies and painting an unpleasant picture when I have so much to be thankful for at this time.”

The actor has been battling pancreatic cancer for months.   And for just about all of those months, the tabloids have been saying he was about to die at any moment.   Frankly, it’s getting old.   I am tired of having to see those awful pictures of Swayze every time I go to the grocery store.   Let him be!

Hottie Megan Fox might be “really confident sexually,” but don’t expect that confidence to spread to her fashion sense.  She admits she knows nothing about clothes and fashion.

“I don’t follow fashion. I’m not that girl. I need people to style me because I’m pretty clueless about it and I don’t care.  I wear pretty much the same outfit every day: jeans, flip-flops and a super soft T-shirt and glasses.”

Right now, I would love to say “good for you, Megan!” – but there’s a huge part of me that thinks she’s just talking to hear herself talk about herself some more.

Model Kate Moss has reportedly decided to become a Buddhist.  A source spilled:

“Kate wants to de-stress and is enjoying taking time out to meditate and learn about Buddhism. She finds it calming.  She’s really into Buddhism and has bought a bronze Buddha. The 4ft by 2ft statue sits pride of place in her living room.”

It’s great to explore new religions.  I totally support people doing that.  However, perhaps it’s not the most polite thing to force your friends into it with you.   The source added:

“She lights sandalwood incense sticks in front of it and makes her friends do the same. The problem is everyone sits choking on the fumes.”

Paris Hilton looked adorable dressed in a silver dress with a nice big bow to top it all off. She’s in Cannes. Why I don’t really know. She just likes to feel important like that I think.

Paris has revealed that she is keen on having kids with her new boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, and she has chosen the Beckham’s to be a part of the babies lives.

“I am going to ask Victoria and David to be godparents to my children. We had dinner with them in LA and really hit it off. I’m going to name my kids David and Victoria because she is so hot and I want kids as beautiful as her.”

I am really speechless. I really don’t have anything to comment about it. But I do have what she added about Doug.

“He’ll do anything for me, he’s really hot. That’s my future hubby.”

I really hope she is serious about this this time. She said the same thing about Benji Madden too. And we all know how that turned out.

Penelope Cruz wore a pretty purple off the shoulders number for the screening of the film Los Abrazos Rotos (Broken Embraces) today at the Cannes Film Festival. It’s about a woman who’s husband was injured in a car accident and has been left blind. Penelope’s character longs for her lover and not her husband.

I can’t get her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona out of my head. I loved her in that. It was nice to see a different side of her. Hopefully she will be nominated for an Oscar again. She deserves it.

Rachel Bilson was out and about yesterday with her dog, Thurmen Murmen, and a friend enjoying the day. It looks like her dog loves the outdoors.

It was just revealed today that Rachel was a victim to burglary at her Los Angeles home. She has been away in Canada to spend time with boyfriend, Hayden Christensen, and this is how she gets repaid. Rachel’s mom noticed that people had taken things while she was there to check on the place. There was no sign of forced entry but police are investigating.

“They stole all her designer labels – shoes, clothes, bags … She collected a lot of vintage shoes – she’s a size 5 – and they took them all,” says the pal. What else was stolen? “All her jewelry, including some handed down to her by her grandmother.”

Rachel’s rep has confirmed the break in and the estimated damages are in the 100, 000′s dollars.
