The girls of the Bravo series The Real Housewives of New York are known for being a little over the top, and this is no exception. Bethenny Frankel has now compared that their reunion to the Vietnam war. Dramatic much?

“It’s like Vietnam,”I keep having flashbacks from it.”…”Everything came out,” Frankel tells Us, “and it was off the rails. Really, absolutely crazy.”

And what about her on-again, off-again feud with the newest cast member, Kelly Killeron Bensimon?

“We’re going to do a Pay-Per-View event at Madison Square Garden, a mud wrestling event,” she jokes. “Then we can at least profit off of this. It can’t get any crazier, though.”

Part one of the craziness premiered last night, and part two will be on tomorrow night. Don’t miss all the flying daggers which address a series of topics, from Kelly Bensimon’s alleged attack on her younger boyfriend to Ramona Singer insulting Countess LuAnn de Lesseps over her divorce and ex’s age. What is it with Tyra Banks and keeping other former models on her America’s Next Top Model judging panel? First Janice Dickinson, then Twiggy, and now Paulina Porizkova have all come and gone. Paulina told Craig Ferguson on his show that she was in Los Angeles because she was looking for a job after being fired from Top Model on her birthday… ouch. What happened? Here’s her story:

“[Who fired me] doesn’t matter, somebody fired me,” Porizkova said when Ferguson asked if Top Model host Tyra Banks had been the person to let her know she was being fired. According to Porizkova, she was fired over the phone.

“But the reason I was fired, just to be fair here, the reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed that America’s Next Top Model had gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me,” Porizkova told Ferguson.

“So I figured it was either that — I think that was a nice way of putting it and it could have been either that or my gigantic huge ego, which I wasn’t aware of before I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem.”  …”I didn’t either,” Porizkova told Ferguson when he said he never thought she had an ego problem. ”But Tyra… I really believe that just felt they didn’t need me, which of course they don’t, so that’s okay.”

Well, she’s got a lot more credibility on that panel than “Miss Jay” AKA Jay Alexander, but then again, he/she is not a threat to Tyra. Perhaps the show should have considered that when they did the “fat trimming”. Isn’t it ironic they used that terminology when they are filming a season with girls of all shapes and sizes… Hmmmm.

Tyra Banks is ridiculous and hopefully everyone jumps off her bandwagon soon. Sure seems like SHE’s the one with the ego problem!

American Idol contestant Adam Lambert is crazy talented, there’s no doubt about that. But a person can only take so much of the screeching and whining and last night, a lot of people had enough. However, dark horse competitior Kris Allen took the stage and blew all of America (including the judges) out of our seats.

He took Kanye West‘s hit ‘Heartless‘ and made it a cool, acoustic feeling song with amazing phrasing and an incredible arrangement. Take THAT, Kara DioGuardi!!! Anyone who says he isn’t as innovative as Adam Lambert can bite me. Regardless if he makes it to the finale or not, that dude proved his skills once again last night!!! That was one of the most creative, amazing performances in the history of the show, and he deserves to be there just as much- if not more- than Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert.

We love you, Kris!!

Will it go faster than a speeding bullet?  The suit worn by Christopher Reeve in Superman III is going up for auction in Melbourne, Australia on May 24.

The suit is not quite a complete set – it is missing cape and boots.  However, it still sounds cool – it was used for the flying sequences.  Says Giles Moon of Bonhams and Goodman:

“It has reinforced slits in the side of the tunic where wires were rigged up for the flying scenes and the fabric is especially designed to be hard wearing and tough.”

The expected price is between $15,000 and $20,000.   Collector geeks, start counting your pennies!  Oh, and you can check out the complete auction catalogue here.

Depeche Mode lead singer David Gahan has been hospitalized in Athens.  The singer became ill in his dressing room before a show, which was subsequently canceled.

The band has just launched their Tour of the Universe, which promotes their new album Sounds of the Universe.    DM will always be one of my favorite bands, and I’ll always have a little crush on Dave, but in my humble opinion, the first single off the album stinks.  It is called “Wrong” and it is seriously wrong.  I know it’s hard for bands to keep doing the same great stuff for years and years, but maybe – just MAYBE – there’s a time to just pack it in and go out on a high note.  Hmmm?

Anyway – get better soon, David!!  Your fans in Turkey and Eastern Europe are waiting for you!

Anyone remember Tower of Power‘s album Back to Oakland?  Celine Dion could similarly title her next album Back to Vegas.  Yes, after that whole tearful, dramatic farewell concert in December 2007, rumor has it that Celine is planning her return to Caesar’s Palace for more of the same overwrought caterwauling.

It won’t be anytime soon – June 2010 – because she is trying to have another baby with her old-ass husband, René Angélil.  A source said:

“[ The show] won’t be anything like the nightly schedule she had when she was resident there for five years previously…First priority, though, at the moment is her attempt to have a new baby. She is not pregnant yet, but she is trying really hard. Setting her return date 13 months out works perfectly with her plans for a new pregnancy. If it’s not meant to be, it still works, and she’ll have enjoyed a full-year hiatus.”

Like any of us needed to know that these two are “trying really hard” to get pregnant.  Nasty.

I didn’t know that Courteney Cox and Isla Fisher knew each other? They were seen laughing while they were leaving Joan’s On Third where they ate lunch together.

Courteney was also seen talking to Brad Pitt the other night at a concert they were both at. How nice that she would still talk to him even though he’s no longer with Jennifer Aniston. (You would have to be living under a rock to not know they split up.)

“Instead of ignoring him, Courteney chatted away with Brad all night. The three were in great spirits and seemed really happy to see each other.”

How mature are they? I think maybe someone should be paying attention.

Tonight’s Dancing with the Stars was mostly about the competition for the spot as a professional dancer next season between Mayo Alanen and Anna Demidova. Mayo was partnered with Kym Johnson (because they’re both freakishly tall) and cheesed it up as usual. Anna got Maksim Chmerkovskiy and they were actually a pretty hot pairing, despite her horse teeth. The judges praise her and Lenn says that if she isn’t the winner, he would “show my bum in the grocery store.” Nice.

FINALLY some results with 8 minutes left in the show:

Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke are in the finals… Duh. Next up, Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas.

Though Melissa and Ty are not necessarily the bottom two, one will be eliminated… Blah blah blah!!!

Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower are eliminated, leaving Melissa Rycroft in the finals!! Woohoo!!!

Vanessa Hudgen‘s is growing up as an actress and would like to be known away from High School Musical. Even though she was cute. So would she go nude in her next movie?

“I will show nudity in a film when the time is right. Right now, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it, but like I said, when the time’s right, if it’s an amazing movie that I’m really passionate about and that’s what it calls for, then we’ll see.”

It’s not like no one has ever seen her naked before. I think that people would flock to the movie that her naked in it. Let’s just hope it wouldn’t end up like Jessica Biel‘s stripper movie and be released on DVD right away.

It’s been a while since we have heard about John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston together. So to be nice to John we have to at least mention him over this. Aspiring actress Scheana Marie Jancan talked to Britain’s Heat magazine and revealed that John was heartbroken over his second split with Jennifer.

“John was devastated at the break up with Jen. He told me that he really didn’t think Jen would dump him,” she explained. “He’s never really got over it and he still talks about her a lot. He’s been playing guitar alone at night, pining over her.”

Now, I’m all for musicians pining over people. I think that they could get their best music out of that. And I know that John would look sexy playing with a pining look on his face.
