Orlando Bloom has never really been my thing. Even in the Pirates of the Caribbean I was more excited about Johnny Depp‘s character than his. Seeing Orlando arriving at the JFK airport in New York today I have to say that my opinion might have changed. I like him much better with short hair.

Orlando is in town for the lighting of the Burberry sign that has become the latest addition to the skyline in New York.  Over 300 guests are expected to arrive with the ceremony being held at the Palace Hotel. I have to say that I have seen the New York skyline myself (back when the World Trade Center was still there) and I found it very breathtaking.

Daisy Lowe, who’s dad is rocker Gavin Rossdale, was at an appearance at Selfridges as part of its 100th anniversary celebrations in London, England today (May 28th). When Daisy smiles you can see Gavin in her.

It was reported in the beginning of May that Daisy is the face of Mango. The campaign was shot in Barcelona already and we are just waiting for the pics to come out. Mango photo shoots are always amazing so I can’t wait to see what they come up with.

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming film A Perfect Getaway starring Milla Jovovich.

I really like Steve Zahn and Milla Jovovich a lot so I’m definitely interested in seeing this. The movie looks like a cross between the show Lost and the film The River Wild.

Here are the very first on set images from the upcoming horror remake Nightmare on Elm Street starring Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Kruger.

The scene that was being shot must have been a flashback sequence in which Krueger sans make-up (or killer blades on his fingers) is playing with some pre-school kids at the Badham pre-school.

Jackie Earle Haley is a perfect choice for Freddy, he’s a talented actor with a great range. He can really dig deep to bring out dark disturbed characters.

Here are the first images from the new film The Book of Eli starring Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman.

Denzel Washington stars as a loner trekking across a post-apocalyptic America with a mysterious book that could be the key to man’s salvation. Washington, who shed 55 pounds for the role, recalls storms so rough that crews had to don goggles just to see what they were filming. “There’s a reason there’s nothing growing out here,” he says. “It’s land no one wants.”

This movie looks like it’s going to be good, Denzel is always great to watch.

Megan Fox was spotted arriving at LAX airport today. I didn’t know that you were allowed to bring liquids with you on the plane! I thought all that was banned.

Megan recently admitted that she is not a fashion guru…

“I’m not one of those girls who follow fashion. I need people to style me because I’m pretty clueless about it and I don’t care. I wear pretty much the same outfit every day: jeans, flip-flops and a super soft T-shirt and glasses.”

She really seems to wear a lot of retro clothes, and she’s right on the money with the ripped jeans, everyone is wearing them. I would have never guessed though that she didn’t pay attention to fashion.

Taylor Swift doesn’t make competition out of her competition.  She makes it out of herself.

“I’ve always approached this from the place where I don’t compete with other girls,” the 19-year-old country singer tells the Associated Press about pals Cyrus and Selena Gomez. “I don’t compete with other people in the industry. I compete with myself.”

“If I looked at every other girl in the entertainment industry as competition, my life would be really lonely,” she says. “I wouldn’t have some of the coolest friends that I’m so glad I’ve gotten to know over the last couple of years… It’s really awesome to get to hang out with those girls and to call them friends.”

Taylor also talked about boyfriends….I totally agree with her insight….

“When you strategize a relationship too much, like, ‘We’re not gonna be public about it, and we’re gonna say this in interviews,’ when you think it all out, I think that complicates the relationship,” she says, adding that she doesn’t care what her love interest does or how he would affect her career. “I think that’s unfair for the relationship.”

“I don’t look for boyfriends,” she says. “I don’t really scour the awards shows for who I’m going to date, but I think love happens when you’re not looking for it, and when it happens, I’m not going to be the one to overthink it.”

Taylor is one level headed chick and I have a lot of respect for her.  With her kind of thinking, she will end up with an amazing guy and lifelong career full of great success. Not to mention some great friends for life.
