This looks pretty funny, I was skeptical about this concept until now. Matt Damon can also do comedy, not something I was expecting.

Here’s the international version of the Inglourious Basterds trailer starring Brad Pitt.
This version doesn’t show much more, but it certainly gives a good feel for the comedic aspects of the film. Tarantino has a knack for dark humor, he’s just never applied it to WWII situations.

Bill Nighy (Underworld, Pirates of the Caribbean) is going to play a part in the final two Harry Potter movies, but we don’t know if he’s playing the character Scrimgeour or somebody else.
It’s been a running thing with the actor where he has often dropped hints in interviews that he was one of the few British actors not to be cast in a role in any of the previous six films, so his nudges finally paid off.
“I don’t think I’m allowed to say it but I’m going to be in the next Harry Potter film,” he told the newspaper. “I won’t say which character, but he’s a goodie. I just got the gig.”
The Leaky Cauldron reported this casting on their “PotterCast” a few weeks back and they believe the veteran actor will be playing Rufus Scrimgeour, a veteran Auror in the Ministry of Magic who spends most of his time fighting Dark Wizards.
The first half of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is scheduled for release on November 19, 2010 with the second half scheduled for July 15, 2011.

One of the most exuberant fashion designers today, Betsey Johnson, is talking about retiring after her September showing. Although retirement is on her mind, abandoning fashion altogether is not. She would still like to be a consultant for her line.
“I’ll go in. I want to be like Ralph [Lauren]. Like, I always imagined the perfect life is like Ralph, where he goes in, and his wonderful expert crews show him work, and he goes, ‘Love it, love it, love it, um, we’ll just put that aside for the moment, love it, love it, hmmm.’ You know what I mean?” she said. “And be that — be the inspiration, the light at the end of the tunnel, the fairy godmother that comes down.”
Her signature cartwheels down the runway will be sorely missed.

I still can’t tell what this is really about, but the poster is cool.

With her catwalk co-horts Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Amber Valetta and Helena Christensen to name just a few, supermodel Karen Mulder was one of fashion’s brightest stars during the 90s. Unfortunately the bombshell has had some problems recently and was arrested in France for making threatening phone calls to a plastic surgeon.
Mulder became aggressive after the medic refused to reverse an earlier operation she had undergone.
A police source says, “She was screaming and shouting about the operation and became extremely threatening.
“There were repeated calls to the female surgeon who was extremely scared. The suspect is being interviewed.”
The Dutch born model has had trouble with severe bouts of depression and has attempted suicide in the past. She had turned her life around after spending quite a long time in a hospital after the failed suicide try. Hopefully, if that is what triggered this rage, she can get herself together again and be there for her young daughter.

Here’s the poster for the upcoming comedy Couples Retreat.
The story revolves around four couples who go to a tropical island resort, with one couple working on their marriage and the others sucked into the resort’s couples therapy. Bell is playing Bateman’s wife, Davis plays Favreau’s wife, and Akerman plays Vaughn’s.
This will probably be pretty amusing, but I’m not expecting a killer comedy here.

While ‘Project Runway’ is no longer a Bravo TV line-up, one of the (many) sponsors of season 5 – Bluefly.com – will finally have winner Leanne Marshall’s drapey dreams for sale. The designer says it has taken her longer than she originally anticipated, in part because of her cross-country move.
She moved to New York earlier this year and spent months sorting out which manufacturers to use. “At first it was just incredibly overwhelming,” she told us. “I learned this stuff in school but when I’m actually doing it as opposed to ‘I’ll just whip this up myself,’ it’s an entirely different method. It was an incredible learning experience. You know, next time it’s going to be so much easier.”
Marshall has such a sophisticated palette and sensuous flow to her garments and she is able to keep that integrity with her lower priced Bluefly line. I love Marshall’s aesthetic and she was the quiet underdog of season 5. Tim Gunn still mentors her and she designed a maternity dress for Heidi Klum. I can’t wait for more from her.

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming family film Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.
It’s still strange seeing ‘lifelike’ animated versions of the cartoon characters I loved as a kid, it just isn’t the same. I’m sure the kids will love this though.
