Johnny Depp Shows His Island Off To Vanity Fair

Johnny Depp Vanity Fair Cover July 2009

Johnny Depp is showing off his amazing private island in the July 2009 issue of Vanity Fair. It’s nice to see Johnny back in the news. I’ve missed seeing him. He has an amazing way about him. In the magazine he talks about how money isn’t everything and what his favorite thing to paint is. Here are the highlights:

On money not being the price for happiness: “Money doesn’t buy you happiness, but it buys you a big enough yacht to sail right up to it.”

On his favorite thing to paint (he also likes playing guitar and reading): “What I love to do is paint people’s faces, y’know, their eyes. Because you want to find that emotion, see what’s going on behind their eyes.”
