Kris Allen Talks About Adam Lambert and Drake LaBry’s Relationship
Kris Allen may be a worship leader and devout Christian, but he is defying what Hollywood thinks of the Christian community. He is showing true love, support and happiness through his friendship with American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert and his recent openness about his sexuality. Here’s what Kris had to say about Adam and his “friend” Drake LaBry:
“I think he’s happier that he can be himself and it’s nice,” Allen says.”Adam is who he is and he’s not afraid. I support him in whatever he does.”
Allen calls Lambert and LaBry’s friendship a “cool combination,” because they’re so different. “Drake’s from Louisiana and Adam is from L.A.,” he says. “But they click well and they’re really nice together.”
That’s not to say that Kris supports his lifestyle, but he loves Adam and is devoted to being his friend and supporting him through this crazy journey. That’s an awesome example for all of us to follow. Even if we don’t completely agree with choices our friends make, the important thing is that we are there for them.

This is a nice website. Regarding Kris Allen being supportive of Adam Lambert without being supportive of his lifestyle….Maybe Kris does not place any judgement what so ever on whether Adam’s lifestyle is right or wrong. I think Kris is realy a nice person. I think I would even think more of him if he just judged if Adam were a nice and decent person in the way he treated others (which by all reports he is), regardless of his sexual orientation. I believe that there are sins in this world, but I do not think being aware of and accepting ones sexual orientation is one of them.
Being gay is not a choice or a “lifestyle”. Anybody with a brain in their head knows its biological/genetic. Its not a matter of Mr. Allen agreeing or disagreeing with who Adam is. He is who he is for God’s sake because he was BORN THAT WAY!
You state “Even if we don’t completely agree with choices our friends make, the important thing is that we are there for them.” That is a beautiful observance but let’s remember too that a person’s orientation is not a choice.

Thank God that Kris Allen is more enlightened than some of his followers. My gay friends assure me that there never was a time when they “chose” to be gay or bi. Anyone who “chooses” to remain ignorant on homosexuality will not search for information (there’s tons) in order to be more informed about the topic. There is a huge amount of scientific evidence (including Morman studies) that homosexuality is biologically and/or genetically influenced. “Seek and ye shall find” – out.
