Kim Kardashian is freakin’ hot. I will give her that… And she’s good at being a Playboy bunny, reality star, and girlfriend to a big-time athelete (Reggie Bush). But when it comes to singing, she should probably just stick to her day job. According to sources, the Keeping up with Kardashians beauty is working on an album. Wow.

In speaking about her musical career, here’s what she had to say:

“I’d have to hear a song and feel it out and see if it’s something I’d sound good at,” Kim said. I would like the music to sound a bit like Lady GaGa, Britney Spears and J.Lo with a bit of an R’n’B twist to it. Filming the video would be the most fun.”

Anna Sui has designed a line exclusively for Target stores this fall inspired by the ‘Gossip Girl’  tv show and it’s characters. The looks are based on the 4 main female (sorry no guys line yet!) characters Blair (Leighton Meester), Serena (Blake Lively), Jenny (Taylor Momsen) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). The pics have leaked online. The line will be available September 13th to October 17th at Target stores nationwide.

United Arab Emirates has a strict social and moral code and as such, foreigners often fall on the wrong side of the law. Raffi Nernekian, a Lebanese man living in Dubai, was arrested for wearing a Marc Jacobs designed t-shirt featuring a nude Victoria Beckham. The tee was designed as part of a skin cancer awareness campaign and Beckham is covering her breasts with her hands.

In this case, another local man was offended by the shirt and got into an arguement with Nernekian at a bakery they were each a patron of. Nernekian left to change and upon returning to the shop, he found police waiting for him.

“Mr Nernekian was subsequently jailed for offending public decency for a month, a sentence upheld on appeal. He will be deported after serving his sentence, even though he has lived in the city for five years.”

The moral code in the U.A.E. is very strict and there is little room for appeal. Clothing cannot be obscene, transparent, have offensive slogans or pictures or indecently expose body parts. While the U.A.E. does have a very large influx of foreign travelers for both recreation and business, many people forget that this is a country with very stringent decency laws and they will not allow outsiders to escape their penalties.

I have missed seeing Johnny Depp around, and now I get to see him as much as I want now. He was looking dapper for the David Letterman Show today. He’s doing the rounds promoting the movie Public Enemies. Of everything that I have seen about the movie it should be awesome. And it has an amazing cast so it has that going for it too.

I love those blue-tinted sunglasses that Johnny has one. And if you notice they match his necklace. That’s class for you!

Ashlee Simpson got a chance to party with her husband, Pete Wentz,  at the the AXE Instinct bash at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. AXE teamed up with Rolling Stone magazine for the Power of Leather launch party. They have a new AXE Instinct, it smells like leather.

I’m not sure if I could handle that. Do I really want my man to go around smelling like leather? I would rather just smell the real leather jacket on someone. That and the smell of cigarettes brings me back. Axe can you make a scent like that? Leather jacket and Player’s cigarettes? Let me know when you get that done.

Style icon Madonna is back at it for Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 ad campaign. Seven images will hit newstands for the August fashion magazines as advertising kicks into high gear for the upcoming season. This image from the Stephen Meisel shot ad was leaked online. The rest of the photos are described as this:

“Madonna’s look in the new images will be basically the one you’re all familiar with thanks to the MET gala: long boots, a few variations of dresses mainly in blue and magenta, and this year’s Vuitton’s signature bunny ears.

Madonna is always wearing gloves and in every image she holds a different bag from the new collection of the French maison. She’s portrayed leaning on a sofa and seated on an armchair, with a heavy, plain curtain in the background. This time there is no set location at all – the atmosphere is a bit dark and definetly intimate.”

Interesting stylized photography used for “Part Deux” photo shoot. I’m not sold on it from the individual ad – I’d like to see the full set, but I am looking forward to that.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - unless you want to work in France and try to sell Garniér Fructis Style shampoo. The product, owned by French cosmetics giant L’Oréal, has been found guilty of racial discrimination by the French Supreme Court for refusing to employ women who are not “BBR.”

“The word went out that Garniér’s hostesses should be BBR — “bleu, blanc, rouge” — the colours of the French flag. The expression is widely recognised in the French recruitment world as a code for white French people born to white French parents, a court was told, in effect excluding the four million or so members of ethnic minorities in France.”

Last year, L’Oréal suffered another image blow when it had been widely accused of lightening the skin tone of singer Beyoncé Knowles for a print ad of the beauty line. This ruling will undoubtly fuel that fire again and anger many women who buy and use the products. This a company is clearly trying to attract the money of all women by using racially diverse role models such as Knowles, Eva Longoria, Penelope Cruz and Kerry Washington.

The only way to fight something reprehensible like this is to hit them where they live: in their wallets. No more L’Oreal cosmetics or haircare, Maybelline, Lancomé, Garniér or The Body Shop products. Companies only respond to their bottom line being compromised.

Michael Jackson has died of a heart attack.

Early Thursday afternoon, pop-icon Michael Jackson was rushed to the hospital after suffering from a serious cardiac arrest. The 50-year-old Jackson is said to have had the heart attack at his Los Angeles home in Holmby Hills around 12:00 PM PST after which a 911 call was received at 12:21 PM. He was then sent to the Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in LA, in an ambulance during which, according to eye-witnesses, he was given CPR by the ambulances’ paramedics.

I just received a message that Michael Jackson has died.  Wow.  Shock.  Unbelief.

This is heartbreaking news for the entire world.  Farrah Fawcett dies this morning, now Michael Jackson.  What is happening?  I am in total shock right now.
