Eric Balfour was spotted having fun on the beach during an Oakley sunglasses event on Saturday in Carpenteria, California. It looks like he had fun pretending to show off his abs and being shirtless without his wet suit.

I was trying to figure out where I knew Eric from today. I swore he used to be in Saved By The Bell but I was wrong, he was only in one episode.  I guess he was on the show 24 quite a bit but I have never even seen that show to know him. Don’t you hate it when you think you’ve seen someone before but you can’t figure out where?

In completely unshocking news- Heidi Montag-Pratt will be posing nude in the September issue of Playboy. Seems like a logical step for the attention starved media whore, doesn’t it? How much exposed skin there will be is still up in the air, but rumor has it that her breasts will be exposed. Guess we get to see just how good her plastic surgeon was.

Hugh Hefner confirmed the news at the Annual Playmate of the Year Dinner saying, “I think she is going to be, I believe so.”

Heidi is reportedly getting paid $500,000 for the gig. Not a bad pay day, but once everyone sees everything you have, you can never take that back. Can you really put a price tag on that?

Sienna Miller is the summer July 2009 cover girl for Vogue magazine. Many people (not me of course) are excited about the next movie she is in that is due out soon, G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra. Okay, I’m more excited about seeing Channing Tatum more than anything but still.

In the interview with the magazine Sienna reveals she’s never had a one night stand and Jude Law. Here are the highlights:

On never being on a real date: “I’ve actually never been taken on a date in my whole life. I have never had a one-night stand. I’m a real relationship person — contrary to public perception…I get kind of emotionally involved very quickly, and I’m not going to spend time with someone unless I love them. But it’s not hard for me to fall in love.”

On watching herself in The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, which she filmed in 2006: “I don’t think I feel comfortable getting naked now. I can see where I made the decision to make that film three years ago, but then you grow up and evolve and your tastes change. I was in this period where I was making movies back-to-back because I didn’t want to be at home. Anything to not be in London. I was running away (from the Jude Law situation). Seeing that film felt like a few steps back.”

On Jude cheating on her during “Nannygate”: “It’s dangerous to bring this up. I talked about him in an interview not long ago, saying that I still love him, and he was like, ‘Please stop talking about it.’ (laughs) This was going to be the first interview where I was going to try to be guarded and detached, not give anything away, and actually I realize that it’s irrelevant. You have to be yourself.…That was a very pivotal time in my life, and I’m happy saying that. It’s a private moment when you get your heart broken for the first time, and that was the absolute antithesis of private. (laughs) It couldn’t have been more public! I had people on the street being like, ‘Ang in there, loov!’ and all you want to do is crawl into a cave and weep for a week. (pauses) I think I discovered a whole new emotional depth that I didn’t have access to before. When you have your heart broken for the first time, you gain depth, and that’s why actors tend to get better with age, I think.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are famous for their global philanthropic efforts, but they’ve recently decided to bring it on home.  The couple, along with Brad’s family, have made a $1 million donation to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

The funds will help the hospital to expand the hospital’s cancer treatment programs, and

will help establish an endowment fund to pay children’s cancer specialists. The donation will also help the hospital build a new pediatric unit, as well as double the size of its neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.

Brad was raised in Springfield.  The unit will be renamed the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center, in honor of Brad’s mother.

How generous!  I personally think this kind of philanthropy is more meaningful than all the money they give overseas.  And what a way to honor his mom.  Bravo, Brangelina!

As you probably already know, Bret Michaels was knocked down by part of the set at the Tony Awards last week.   You’ve probably already seen the video, but have you seen and heard Bret’s side of things?  He posted photos and blogged at his website about the incident:

I had a great time at the Tonys right up until I got blindsided, I must admit it was a little blurry after that. In hindsight, there is no doubt I got my bell rung, unfortunately it has been posted and perhaps funny to watch, but I can assure you it has been painful to experience. In all honesty I had absolutely no idea what struck my head. Upon impact I thought a piece of the lighting rig had fallen out of the ceiling and as I fell back it seemed like my head struck the stage and I blacked out for a second. When I opened my eyes I noticed a large set prop coming down straight for me. I immediately pushed myself out of the way and amidst the chaos I laid on the floor and asked “what the hell just happened?”

My nose, mouth and the back of my head felt numb. I vaguely remember asking Big John, “do I have any teeth left in my mouth?”  I knew I could move my arms and legs and that was an instant relief. Somebody handed me a towel to wipe the blood from my face and in my dazed state I recall staring at what seemed to be Shrek, a talking goat head and several monkey like creatures.

I need to make clear at no point since the incident occurred do I feel like the accident was malicious in any way and I feel this will all work itself out. However I must state I found it a little strange that the only statement released by the Tony organization was that I missed my mark and that I was completely fine. First, I thought, “what mark?” as there was no official mark, just a retracting drum riser and an overhead prop being rapidly lowered which was out of my view. Second, I think it was slightly irresponsible for them to report that I was fine without full knowledge of my condition, when a doctor hadn’t even looked at me yet and I surely don’t remember any X-Ray machines backstage. I am not looking for an apology, I only hoped that on a human level that the Tony organizations’ representative would have expressed some concern for injury in their statement or at the very least claim they would be looking into the matter.

I feel for the actors and actresses who put in so much time and hard work on or off Broadway to get to the Tonys. This is their moment and I am sorry that some of it may have gotten overshadowed by my thick rocker cranium being struck by a stage prop. On a high note I hear it was the highest rated Tonys they have had in years.

The accident looked awful… “blindsided” is a good word for what happened to Bret.   I’m not a doctor, but his injuries don’t look THAT bad.   Now he’ll have some scars to impress the ladies on the next season of Rock Of Love.

Evan Rachel Wood‘s new movie, Whatever Works, opens this week.  She spoke with the New York Daily News on a variety of topics, including her history with Marilyn Manson, acting in her first comedy, and why she earned a black belt in tae kwon do:

I was not good at ballet. I liked tae kwon do better. I took like four years and it was hard. My best friend, who’s also my assistant, I’ve known her since fifth grade and we met in tae kwon do class. Every now and then I’ll look at her and we’ll bust out some forms.

OK, good to know.  I wonder if she ever used any of her martial arts moves on her ex-boyfriend!  You can read the rest of the interview here.

Liv Tyler was seen shopping at the Confederacy store in Los Angeles today. I love the plaid skirt and have been known to only wear them. Other than that I hate skirts and dresses with a passion. And really Liv has awesome legs to be able to pull this one off since it’s so short.

That’s what running after kids will do to you. Make your legs look awesome!

Beijing Olympic beast Michael Phelps can add another item to his resume:  children’s book author.

His book, How to Train with a T. Rex and Win 8 Gold Medals, is in stores now, and is published by Simon & Schuster.  It’s a story of his Olympic training regimen and his experience at the Summer Olympics last year.   Featured in the book are pictures of Phelps, his dog Herman and his coach, Bob Bowman.

Of his latest venture, Michael says:

“It’s a fun way for kids to learn and for me to get a lot of different messages out there.”

No word on whether the book mentions how smoking pot and hanging out with strippers fits into one’s training plans.

Denise Richards has revealed that John Stamos was her favorite lover. I know, it comes as a surprise with all the other fine specimens she’s had like, Richie Sambora and Charlie Sheen.

Those poor guys! And what did John say when he found out Denise said that?

“That was really sweet… I was like, ‘Oh, thank you for saying that.’ I’ve known her since she was 19. (I’ve) always had a little sweet place in my heart for her.”

I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or bad thing for John. I mean he was married to Rebecca Romijn. She’s pretty smoking hot!
