Neil Patrick Harris has secured roles in two upcoming films. 

Neil will co-star with Amy Sedaris in Best, a comedy about a father who moves his wife and young child from Delaware to the Upper East Side. In addition, Harris has also landed a supporting role in Beastly, an updated take on Beauty and the Beast, starring Vanessa Hudgens and Mary-Kate Olsen. 

He’s a talented and funny guy, he’s sure to bring a bright and sharp edge to both films.

Here’s a short film made by one of my previous teacher’s classmates called More, it’s been doing very well and for great reason. It won the special jury prize at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival, won Best Animated short at the 1999 South by Southwest Film Festival, and ranks #10 on IMDB’s top 50 user ranked best short films of all time list. Watch! 

Pretty impressive piece of work, I look forward to seeing more from director Mark Osborne.

The hot Canadian, Ryan Reynolds, hit the MuchMusic studios in Toronto, Ontario yesterday. I am proud to say that he is Canadian just like me! He is in the city to promote his new movie, The Proposal. Where his costar, Sandra Bullock,  plays the Canadian in the movie.

I haven’t been able to stop watching the trailer for the movie. And yes, he’s shirtless in it. I just have a thing with the shirtless guys in it lately. The movie hits theaters June 19th.

James Franco is set to star in the upcoming indie film In Praise of Shadows.

The drama tells the story of William Vincent (Franco), and recounts his eccentric and curious journey that brought him back to New York City after four years in exile to rescue the woman he loves from a crime syndicate.

It’s hard to tell from the short description what the guts of this movie will consist of, but it sounds promising enough.

In not so surprising news- much like the confirmation of Adam Lambert‘s sexuality- both he and Kris Allen have inked record deals. Adam Lambert has signed with 19 Entertainment and RCA Recordings and his album should be out this fall.

“I’m thrilled that we’ve come to a creative and collaborative partnership and look forward to developing a really exciting album,” Lambert, 27, said in a statement. “We are 100 percent on the same page and are all anxiously awaiting the start of the recordings. It’s going to be ridiculous! Get Ready!!!”

Kris Allen‘s prize with American Idol guaranteed him a deal with 19 Recordings/Jive Records, and his record will also debut this fall.

“As exciting as the last few months have been, I’m really looking forward to what is next,” said Allen. “I’m very grateful to be working with [Idol creator] Simon Fuller and his team at 19 Entertainment, along with Barry Weiss and Jive Records on my debut album. Everyone’s been asking me what it’s going to sound like. It will be very similar to what you heard from me on the show — definitely in the pop/rock genre. I can’t wait to get started!”

These are going to be two busy boys, having a jam-packed summer tour and recording albums. Whose record will you be hitting the stores or iTunes to buy when it comes out?

The A-Team is coming and the producers want Liam Neeson. 

Liam Neeson is in negotiations with 20th Century Fox to star in its long-gestating bigscreen adaptation of “The A-Team” as Col. John ”Hannibal” Smith. Bradley Cooperis in early talks to play Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck in the Joe Carnahan-directed pic based on the 1980s TV series.

Production begins in late August for a June 11, 2010, release.

Neeson is a fantastic actor, hopefully he can squeeze this movie into his busy schedule.

Jillian Harris-the latest girl to have the chance at 25 guys falling all over her on The Bachelorette- has reportedly “found happiness.” But don’t get too excited, because that apparently is no different than any other time in her life.

“I found happiness, absolutely,” she said in a recent interview. “But in all fairness to that question, I’ve been happy for the last 29 years of my life. I’m a pretty happy girl.”

Confused yet? Well here comes more:

“I’m in an extremely happy place right now,” and adds, “I’ve never been in the place that I’m in right now, which is a very good place.”

So, to summarize: Jillian has always been happy in her life, and she is also happy now. She’s never been in the place she is in now, which is an extremely happy and good place.

The Real Housewives of New York‘s newest cast member conveniently got into some legal trouble this year, having been arrested for assaulting her then live-in fiance. Yesterday, the attention starved diva and her ex, Nicholas Stefanov came to a deal:

As part of Monday’s agreement, the misdemeanor assault charge will be dropped if the 40-year-old stays out of trouble for a year. Bensimon also must perform two days of community service.

Wow. Sounds like such a harsh punishment. Whatever will she do? Serving others for two whole days? Gasp!

Maybe it was all for attention after all. I wouldn’t put it past any of these loser “housewives.”
