MTV: 16 & Pregnant Goes For Round 2 + Dr Drew

16 & Pregnant

MTV has “enjoyed” following the lives of 6 teenagers and the daily trials of being a teenager while facing pregnancy and motherhood.  So it will bring 16 & Pregnant back for season 2.

Dr Drew will be jumping on board for the end of this season on July 23rd.  I am sure he will have some life changing advice for these young girls and perhaps it will sink in for some of them.

I generally agree with most of what he has to say.  I am glad he is stepping up for these young ladies.  Thank you Dr Drew!

16 and Pregnant makes being a pregnant teen seem so glamorous. They should have someone like Diane Garnick tell her story on that show as a follow up.

She was 15 when she had her baby, worked hard and then went on to become a famous author and Wall Street whiz. At least she tells people how hard it was to be a teenage Mom.

I have mixed feelings about this series. Today was the first time where I was able to watch the show without yelling at the TV because of the idiocity of these young kids having kids. This episode was the show where the young couple gave their baby up for adoption. I couldn’t help but cry the whole entire time. It was so refreshing to see young kids make such a selfless choice. You could definately see how much they loved their baby, it was even more obvious when they handed their baby over to her adopted parents. This couple should be commended for their courage, honesty, and love that they showed for not only their unborn baby, but for eachother. Their parents did not support them, so all they had was eachother to carrier one another through their adoption journey. Kudos to them.
