Michael Jackson Memorial Tickets, Seriously?

Michael Jackson peace sign

This is just a wee bit out of control at this point.  I think that Michael Jackson’s sudden death has become this media frenzy and barbaric charade that needs to stop.  I don’t know how or when it will.  But, I can hope for a bit of peace after his memorial service on Tuesday.

Please don’t get me wrong.  I feel the pain of the world mourning Michael Jackson’s death.  I just don’t think he is being honored by this money hungry, media starved approach.  I think his close family and friends need to lay him to rest and move on.  I don’t think that the world needs to keep a never ending production going in order to remember him.

There are so many die-hard Jackson fans out there and only a select few will be “lucky” enough to take part in his memorial service at Staples Center in Los Angeles.  The rest of the true fans will be watching from afar,  be it from their computers or across the street at the Nokia Theater.

This all equals Hollywood nonsense to me.  Does anyone remember that Farrah Fawcett died a painful, slow death the same day?
