We know that Mariah Carey is set to perform at the Michael Jackson memorial, now Jennifer Hudson will be there too as part of the “show”.  Also on stage will be Usher and Lionel Richie.

There will be a ton of fans and quite a few celebrities there to pay their repsects: Ron Boyd (family friend); Kobe Bryant; Andrae Crouch Choir; Berry Gordy; Shaheen Jafargholi (finalist on Britain’s Got Talent); Magic Johnson; Martin Luther King III; Bernice A. King; John Mayer; Lionel Richie; Smokey Robinson; Rev. Al Sharpton; Brooke Shields; Pastor Lucious Smith (family friend) and Stevie Wonder.

Elizabeth Taylor won’t be there.  This doesn’t surprise me at all, this has been really hard for her.  I don’t think her heart could handle it.

“I just don’t believe that Michael would want me to share my grief with millions of others. How I feel is between us. Not a public event,” she wrote. “I said I wouldn’t go to the Staples Center, and I certainly don’t want to become a part of it. I love him too much.”

She is so sweet and I think she is making the right decision to stay home.

Do you think that the media frenzy will die down after the memorial service?  I know Peter King wants it to……
