Designer Tara Subkoff Brain Tumor Operation
Imitation of Christ creator Tara Subkoff has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The designer has acoustic neuroma and while the tumor is benign now, it will grow and be fatal in 2 years if left untreated. An operation is scheduled for August and to help pay for the costs (an 11 member neurosurgery team and up to a year of after care,) a silent auction will be held July 15th. Subkoff is opening her personal collection of Imitation of Christ couture and 200 pieces will be offered for the benefit. Subkoff, who no longer owns the IoC name, is also an actress working in both film and television and Chloe Sevigny was IoC’s creative director. Thoughts, prayers and well wishes go out to Subkoff, her family and friends.
